The idiot has no soul, and exemplifies my adage that existence is intrinsically evil.
Sure the “idiot” has a soul. It currently seems to be a damned one.
I however, teach such situations lightly because I fear putting a lid on what the Lord can do. The Lord performed few miracles in at least one place due to the unbelief. America badly needs the miracles of the Holy Spirit and so I will never say it’s impossible for God. If people end up refusing to the end that is their fault; but it won’t be my fault for grieving the Holy Spirit.
touch, not teach... though if I did teach, I would teach about
And please get off that dirge that “existence is intrinsically evil.”
That is a broad brush blasphemy.
We live in a scene that is deeply polluted by evil, and yet the power of perfect righteousness remains available within it.
Not quite.
Everyone has souls and consciences. We are norn with a sin nature which means what comes naturally to us is doing bad things rather than good things, which is why we spend decades teaching kids how to get along and be nice, rather than how to screw others (as that comes naturally).
Free will ultimately lets people decide how they are going to behave, and if they want to behave badly it starts damaging their conscience which knows what tehy are doing is wrong. Rationalization is the second greatest human drive, so evil can be rationed away as good and good, evil, when the conscience has been damaged/destroyed. Ultimately the conscience doesn’t work anymore. It has been seared, fried, burnt out.
That is how this guy can become what he’s become.
