Heather Has Two Textbooks
Accuracy in Academia ^ | July 4, 2014 | Malcolm A. Kline

Posted on 07/07/2014 12:38:27 PM PDT by Academiadotorg

While parents of public school children may feel besieged by alternative lifestyles, one public school teacher doesn’t think the literature available to them is diverse enough. “It takes a lot of work to find books that include same-gender parents, step-parents, foster or adoptive children, or other nontraditional families as background in an adventure tale, a friendship parable, or a holiday romp; nontraditional families are either the topic of the story or, more likely, not included at all,” Willow McCormick writes in the summer issue of Rethinking Schools magazine. “When two-parent, heterosexual families are presented as the norm in story after story, near [year] in and year out, an insidious message is conveyed: Families that don’t conform to this structure are not normal.”

“And, of course, the message is reinforced in the majority of movies and television shows geared toward children.” McCormick is a second and third-grade teacher in West Linn, Oregon. One wonders which television shows she is referring to. heather two mommies book

For that matter, not only has the book Heather Has Two Mommies been in circulation since 1989, but it has been joined by a host of others, in English and Spanish, such as My New Daddy and My New Mommy.

Ugh! How soon before the books expounding on the beauty of child/adult love relationships are being force-fed to children?

That is not an ‘insidious’ message. It is TRUTH. When it is a lifestyle of less than 5% of the population, it is clearly not the norm.

an insidious message is conveyed

Normal is now considered "insidious"?

Lord, how long must you tarry?

Two-parent, heterosexual families ARE the norm. The human race has spent several thousand years perfecting this model for the family, and it seems to have been adopted in most every society around the world, even before there was much contact between the various different tribes and clans.

There may be some primates in the wild that have different sexual pairing strategies, but for human beings, the male-female bound for the purpose of raising the young, that continues for a very long term, seems to serve all the purposes admirably.

Anything else is just, well, anti-children.

And it IS for the children, isn’t it?

This is something that just hit me yesterday.

If homosexuality is so normal or even genetic, then how did cultures around the world tens of thousands of years ago manage to always shake out the same arrangement of man and women married in some form to produce children and raise them together with virtually no evidence that societies adopted all of this “gay families” nonsense?

These are societies that were in many cases polytheists, stone age, and nomadic. Somehow they all got to the same place.

“When two-parent, heterosexual families are presented as the norm in story after story, near [year] in and year out, an insidious message is conveyed: Families that don’t conform to this structure are not normal.”

Spirited: Pushing aside the sophistry pretending to be rational discourse is the shameless hypocrisy of the champion of the evil concept that man has no immutable nature since he is not created but rather the product of evolution, hence always and ever “becoming.” Thus pointing out that there has never been such a thing as homosexual marriage in history is superfluous since man’s nature is fluid because the ‘god’ Evolution rolls on and on, changing social arrangements, demolishing truth, national boundaries, Constitutional rights, gender, and all else.

This is the satanically inverted philosophy of violence and nihilism of America’s amoral ruling class, the Marquis de Sade, Karl Marx and the Sophist Callicles in Plato’s ‘Georgias:’

“The fact is this: luxury and licentiousness and liberty,
if they have the support of force, are virtue and happiness and the rest of these embellishments-—the unnatural covenants of mankind-—are all mere stuff and nonsense.” (Making Gay Okay, Reilly, pp. 31-32)

In other words, with a consensus of force backed by the threat of violence, virtue, truth, marriage, gender, the Constitution, etc. becomes whatever the agent of violence chooses them to be.
