RE :”A Christian bakery owner who refused to make a cake with a slogan supporting gay marriage has said he should be allowed to run his business according to his religious beliefs”

In the US the bakery should be able to refuse to put messages on their cakes, its just denying the cake to same sex couples that the courts will uphold fines against.

The first is a free speech issue.

Exactly, and a religious freedom issue. I have yet to hear of the sodomites suing Muslims for not selling pork. Also, I have yet to hear of the sodomites suing the Muslim taxi drivers who explicitly refused to take sodomites to the so-called “gay games”.
