The president will travel to Texas tomorrow to fundraise for Democrats. But, because of the humanitarian crisis and rising health care concerns, the timing of his trip is far from impeccable. For his part, Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) has sent numerous entreaties to the president in recent weeks urging him to see for himself the perilous situation on the border. He wont. He did, however, invite Perry to greet him at the airport upon his arrival, an invitation the governor promptly rejected (via the WSJ):
I appreciate the offer to greet you at Austin-Bergstrom Airport, but a quick handshake on the tarmac will not allow for a thoughtful discussion regarding the humanitarian and national security crises enveloping the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas, Mr. Perry wrote in a letter to the president Monday. I would instead offer to meet with you at any time during your visit to Texas for a substantive meeting to discuss this critical issue.

He ain’t gonna meet with Governor Perry for anything more than a handshake photo op.
Perry should challenge him to a duel at the Alamo.
where are all the drooling O=bots? We heard over and over how Obama won by MILLIONS of votes...welll?
If EVERY O-bot minion took in one illegal person, there would be no issue.
It’s time for the O=bots to put their money where their DROOL is!
I would so hit that.
They are full of Shiite.
I proposed just that to a group and informed then they were disingenuous at a minimum and flat out fake for their supposed humanity.
Take them into your homes losers.
Do it publicly so we can listen —
Dallas is a big city. I can show up, but ...
Yep it would be hard to find going door to door. I have no idea. My guess would be it may be
held somewhere at DFW. If Obama was traveling intercity the streets would be blocked etc
and seems there would be some info of that. I’m not even sure where he was at in Austin
but I haven’t looked for the event.
......
Earnest said the president will meet with religious leaders and others who are working with
children who were detained at the border.

LOL ...
I withdraw bringing a baseball team in to handle the tyrant, zer0.
THAT is exactly why Perry needs to call up the Texas State Guard instead of the National Guard. The TSG is under his sole command and cannot be nationalized.
Or just kick his @ss in 18 minutes at San Jacinto. Either works.
To frickin Infinity and Beyond!
After that, I’m off to The Midnight Rodeo “One acre of Dancin and Glancin”.
Easiest pickup joint ever....Target rich...
“Oh this will be historical..
worthy of being placed in the annals of time alongside Churchill and Roosevelt and Stalin for sure...”
I’m not so sure this is a good thing: When those three met after the war, Stalin the Bad Guy won.
If homobama man’s up to meet Perry at the border, let’s hope the results will be better.
Didn’t realize Texas had their own army.
Sounds good to me.
In any case, Zer0 is ignoring the law, time to ignore him.
Obama will certainly find the next television camera he can get in front of and lie about what was discussed. I'd record it..
Obama the King Spider, surrounded by his supportive ministers and high priests, welcomes Governor Rick "Fly" Perry into the meeting with:
"Will you walk into my parlor, good to see you coming by
Meet the social justice clergy who just happened to be nigh
The entrance to our meeting room is up a winding stair
And I've got lots of tasty BS to spread when we're up there"
"Oh, no, oh, no", replied the canny Texas gov'nor guy
"To ask me is in vain
For who goes up your winding stair
Can ne're come down again"
Leni
You put a smile on my face Leni...yet very true. Obama is a very sinister and cunning adversary, and he is coached by Shelob (Valerie J)
Perry should have a media event down by the border with ranchers and townfolk. There should be an empty chair placed next to him during the discussions.
I’m waiting for the pope to say we are obligated to do good works and this would be a really, really good work.
