A state district judge ruled Tuesday that a 7-year-old Honduran girl who has been stuck in legal limbo since her mother was gunned down in January will be returned to her father in her native country this week.
Sheyli Galvez, who came to Houston illegally with her mother last year, was placed in the custody of Child Protective Services on Jan. 21 when her mother was killed.

I sound so mean, I’m very sorry this little girl’s mother was murdered, but I do not object to the idea she is best off with her own father.
