Mainstream media members have listened to the tapes uncovered by the Washington Free Beacon of Hillary Clinton laughingly discussing a child rapist she defended in the 1970s, and theyve come away rather troubled about how they bode for her 2016 presidential prospects.
Both Morning Joes Joe Scarborough and Huffington Post reporter Sam Stein called her comments disturbing, with Scarboroughs liberal co-host Mika Brzezinski adding there was a bigger problem there for Clinton.
The Washington Posts Karen Tumulty questioned the swagger and dismissiveness of Clinton regarding the emotionally sensitive issue on Andrea Mitchell Reports. On Hardball Tuesday, host Chris Matthews opened the segment about the case coming back to haunt Clinton and wondered why she would be laughing about it. Left-wing Salons Joan Walsh even said she couldnt sugarcoat the tape that she admitted was not fun to listen to, and fellow MSNBC guest Michelle Bernard said they could be very problematic for Clinton.
CNNs Brianna Keilar also stated Clintons attitude was bad politics and could serve to alienate young voters.
Others have seized on her recent remarks on the case to Mumsnet, where she claimed to have been appointed by a local judge to the case and requested to be taken off it. However, in the Roy Reed interview uncovered by reporter Alana Goodman, Clinton said, The prosecutor called me a few years ago, he said he had a guy who had been accused of rape, and the guy wanted a woman lawyer. Would I do it as a favor for him?
The Washington Free Beacons Andrew Stiles noted the entire American media establishment could not be bothered with asking Clinton about the tapes for more than three weeks after they were first published, leaving it to Mumsnet, a British parenting website.
What she said last week does not appear to be truthful, does it? Scarborough asked on Morning Joe Tuesday.
It doesnt serve her well, reporter Mark Halperin replied.
MSNBCs PoliticsNation host Al Sharpton said the tapes would put a dent into Clintons image as an advocate for women.
It clearly is not the kind of situation that she wants to have to defend, when you hear in your own voice taking lightly something that speaks to one of your core issues, and that is the value of women, he said.
What difference does it make?????
We have no media bias in this country, nosiree. Nope. Never happen.
IMHO everything she does is disturbing!
She will not be the nominee. The left does not like her. They know she is Marie Antoinette. She stands for nothing but craven power.
soros and the other powers that be don’t want her to be president. too much baggage and too many people against her.
Hillary is a mean, nasty women and should not be allowed to ever step foot in the people’s house again.
Somewhere a fair young Indian maiden named Liz Warren is smiling.

______________
Lizzy Warren is an elderly 65 years.
Liz Warren is younger than I am. More to the point, she is younger than Hillary.
I don’t think of 65 as “elderly.”

I do. I think that the presidency is for younger more vital people, perhaps 45 to 60. Remember they will usually have 8 years. And someone like Grannie Warren? She has never had leadership responsibilities in her life. She is way over her head. No she is way too old, and there is nothing worse than old leftists.
It might be better if more of our Presidents were shown the door after 4 years.
Edmund Randolph, who introduced the "Virginia Plan" at the Constitutional Convention, wanted the executive branch to be headed by three men, drawn from different regions of the country, rather than one, fearing that a unitary executive would lead to monarchy. When he lost on that idea, he wanted the President to be ineligible for re-election. Something to be said for that.
Bill O’Reilly (a.k.a. Ted Baxter) is just a few months younger than Warren, and Jay Leno is just 10 months younger. Both of them seem to be full of energy.
It might be better if more of our Presidents were shown the door after 4 years.
________________
Neither O’Reilly or Leno run a country, which is exhausting work. I think all presidents should have four or six years and out.
All congressmen four years and out. All senators four years and out. Not to ever work in public sector again.
