Several conservative Republicans pushed back Wednesday on calls for President Barack Obama's impeachment. "Harry Reid's going to block anything we do in that regard," said Georgia Rep. Paul Broun told The Hill on Wednesday. Broun, a four-term congressman, said in February that he would vote to impeach Obama. "There are a number of colleagues that would like to see an impeachment proceeding go forward against the president," he said. "I'm not sure our leadership would allow that to happen ... we've got to focus on what we can do." Louisiana Rep. John Fleming told the Hill: "We'd like to do more, the problem is the avenues are just not available. Even if impeachment was to pass in the House, it wouldn't remove the president from office.

Message to GOP: Follow your oath of office.

And do your duty.

I thought you were going to say we will first cut off his testicles. Maybe that would work if he had any. Speaking of testicles when will the GOPe grow some? But that would be wishful thinking.

even though clinton wouldn’t be removed by the democrat-run senate the repubs in the house still impeached him.

I’m thinking the same thing, Popman. But I believe if the Repubs. hold the House and take the Senate, it’ll be the Dems that will be screaming for impeachment.

oh ffs. grow a freakin spine and go your job or step down and let someone else do it

the House should impeach... then let the senate try to defend NOT convicting going into the election

force the issues to be on the national stage... which the press has been trying to avoid

They may scream for impeachment to goad the GOP, but they would never vote for impeachment...

I think I’d rather go down trying my damnedest rather than not even try because I didn’t think I would be sucessful. I also wish influential people like Rush could mention the word “impeachment” without feeling compelled to state “it ain’t gonna happen, no way no how” in the same breath. Rush has been doing that for years now, and if it’s not at least partly self-fulfilling then it at least slows down what could eventually be a successful movement. If he doesn’t want to be on board fine but at least don’t rain on it. Thanks to Sarah Palin for what she did. If more politicians would do that then impeachment wouldn’t be so impossible.

Aiding and abetting the Democrats in the destruction of the Nation. And they are focusing on that like a laser beam.
