Well I find it funny that prisons manage to build walls & fences that keep even the most determined inmates inside. Razor wire and electricity put an end to 35' ladders. Of course the politicians know this. The politicians instead of doing their duty focus on serving their own special interest meaning obeying corporate donors who want cheap illegal labor. That means they lack the will and in some cases their corruption is what keeps a fortified border wall from being built.
Either politicians must immediately fund and start construction on the entire wall NON STOP UNTIL COMPLETION and for our military being armed and placed on the border now or they stand against the Constitution of The United States and their oath of office that includes governors.
The Texas border is a river. Portions are virtually uninhabited on both sides.
Property rights be damned in this case. There is a constitutional means to lawfully acquire land for national defense and to compensate the lawful owners for their loss. Such times as what we face today was the reason for such an allowance. Our government instead uses it to take land for commercial developers. Take the land stop the BS and build the wall.
Rivers have banks. In places crossable build the wall. Cattle need water? Irrigation needs? Simple solution is to install piping before construction. There's been enough excuses as to why it can't be done the time now is to get it done.
Many people have had to make sacrifices by selling out needed land for the well being of communities or even region and that especially runs true for families who have lived in the Tennessee Valley for several generations now has it not? Why are some exempt? Political connections perhaps? Ones wanting cheap farm/ranch labor never mind the carnage to others?
The wall cedes the river to Mexico.

With some planning the river can be used. Piping does wonders but the river is being used as an EXCUSE not to do what is needed doing. Enough Excuses. Do It Now! In our state Tennessee and in North Carolina we pipe rivers across mountains for use.
You see only the water...... the river is a corridor, a means of transport used for many purposes besides the water alone.
Would you prohibit the electricity from say Nickajack dam? Would you prohibit fishing in Chicamauga lake?
Would you prevent water sports on Norris reservoir?

The town of my mothers birth Loyston is covered right now by Norris Lake. My grandparents relocated to US 441 aka Norris Freeway in the mid 1940's. Other family was forced out as well.
Guess what even after the war TVA would not allow power to be ran to their home and No I'm not kidding. A family member had to write letters to senators and congress to finally get power in the 1950's. I have a 180KV powerline on my rural property I move onto to get away from it all. It cut my land in half. TVA and my local utility decided a new substation was neeed and my land was on the route needed to tap off the 500KV line. Did I have a choice? No! Did TVA or my utility care I used that land? No! I had to fight them to keep them from washing away the ridge behind me.
So don't you go preaching to me about how I would feel. The substation was needed I didn't fight that. A fence in Texas is needed and national security to stop this invasion outweighs fishing.

Second solution? Take the river completely on both side with military force and build the wall in Mexico making the wall the new Mexico border. Hey they’ve done declared war on the United States.
