There are a lot of Texans that don't want a fence, at least not for the entire border. It makes sense in some areas, but not necessarily everywhere. There are property rights issues to consider as well.

Also places like this (Big Bend) --

-- where you don't need or want a fence.

Property rights be damned in this case. There is a constitutional means to lawfully acquire land for national defense and to compensate the lawful owners for their loss. Such times as what we face today was the reason for such an allowance. Our government instead uses it to take land for commercial developers. Take the land stop the BS and build the wall.
