I blame the Senate for not convicting Clinton when he was impeached. More than anything else, it provided a template for being lawless and getting away with it. If they had removed Clinton (deservedly), subsequent presidents would have been more circumspect. Yeah, but all those Ruling Class alpha hotels (the same ones we had to re-elect or else) didn't want to upset the applecart. Another reason that I hate the GOP almost as much as I hate the Democrats.

As with "frankly," "honestly," and "with all due respect" saying you're telling the truth is a way of signaling the opposite.

designed to show him outside the traditional confines of his office. I hope the libs in Austin were happy about the HUGH traffic snarl his motorcade created. KLBJ broke away for some of his speech during Rush's show, and their news chat line went insane.
The show after Rush is the Todd and Don, and you should have heard the remarks by callers. One even sent a message "You are making us listen to a Marxist instead of Rush" - and that was a mild one.
