This answers a question I had when the news broke that the bishop of San Bernadino was asking Catholics in that diocese to house some of the illegal aliens, at the request of the Obama administration. They said that the "hosts" would be reimbursed for expenses by the Church. I wondered "Why would the Church be paying for that? Why not the government?" Now I have my answer... because the government already did pay. That's what these "grants" were for. It's been in the planning stages for years.

As a faithful Catholic, it makes me apoplectic that our bishops are part of this whole criminal enterprise.

That was my first reaction. But we need more information regarding what Catholic Charities and the Baptists were told. AFAIK, the enabling legislation concerned the protection of minors caught up in sex slavery. That may be what the Catholics and Baptists were told.

Granted, the American bishops have generally been sympathetic toward many socialist policies, and if they did cooperate knowingly, they’ll desrve the criticism.

The Catholic Church is huge on social justice. This means they look to the Gov't to fund their "charities".

If the Catholic Church extended charity with more of their own money I would respect them. But this is one reason that they often lean left instead of right...they're afraid of their taxpayer funds being taken from them.

Too often, their "outreach" consists of putting the suffering on the dole as well. They show them how to navigate the taxpayer funded system.

Think about this...Obama wants $3.8 billion now from Congress to pay for the illegal children, yet as taxpayers we already paid for the children through the Millions in Grants...
Wonder how much all those grants add up to?? Double Dipping in taxpayer funds?

Organized religion is simply a part of the social engineering system. Hopefully it has more value than most government programs.

Don't give one penny to these Catholic Churches who side with socialists/communists/marxists. They're undoubtedly also teaching Common Core. Remember, no Sunday collection box donation from you. Attend a Catholic Church that holds the same values as your own. I'm Catholic and I know that religion is a business. God is not looking favorably upon these leftist, money grabbing Bishops.

I am sure the Bishops get a nice personal kickback.

The C Church is becoming a criminal enterprise.
