"Having women being exploited in general in any sport is wrong..."
She must be in favor of men being exploited?
Funny, plenty of women attend sports games precisely to see men playing in basketball shorts for instance. if she doesn't believe that, she is woefully naïve.

Well, it’s not fair to the gals that they have to have pretty waistlines, but the guys’ are concealed beneath their uniforms.

Why are men blamed for objectifying women when women get boob jobs? It seems that not a few of them want to be objectified.

The Sharks are not backing down from their plan to recruit “ice girls” to help clean the playing surface during each game despite a backlash from a segment of their fan base.
What segment would that be?

The people complaing about this are people that don't even know that hockey is played on ice. The Sharks are right to ignore them.

I haven't watched hockey in years. Looks like a lot of teams have ice girls.

women do not attend men's sports to see men wearing their uniforms....plenty of women go to football and hockey games and those uniforms cover from head to toe....
if the "ice girls" are going to be more pandering then I am all against it....

The Sharks have had young men and women clearing the ice for years now. What’s the big deal?

Ice girls are about porn. Conservatives understand this is bad. I hope the opposition is heard but they are tilting against the wind. Pornification of the culture is a titlewave right now.

The real issue here is safety. Ice clean-up teams are given precious few moments to do their job. The result is a mad rush of high-speed activity in multiple locations and directions.
Here's an example of a near-collision that was only barely avoided by quick thinking.
