Tuesday’s witnesses at Jesse Ventura’s defamation trial stitched together a scene a California bar that ended with the former governor lying on his back.

The latest witness in the case being heard in U.S. District Court in St. Paul, former SEAL Lt. Cmdr. Andrew Paul, said he saw a commotion, then saw Ventura get up from the patio floor and yell that he was going to kill Chris Kyle.

Afterward, Paul said, “Chris told me, ‘Jesse was running his mouth and I punched him.’ ”

then saw Ventura get up from the patio floor and yell that he was going to kill Chris Kyle.

If true, then what Kyle stated in his book must also be true:

I left

Quickly.

As a soldier, his service was commendable but he should have left it at that.

There's nothing impressive about a drunk suckerpuncher who hits the door after delivering his blow instead of standing up like a man and finishing the fight.........

Would that Kyle was alive today in order to give us a repeat performance.

He already admitted to dashing out the door once after the sucker punch, what makes you think he would give Ventura an even chance?

He went to Buds. He’s a Seal. Your distinction is meaningless. Not all Seals (or Seal teams) do the exact same job.

Go argue with all these people:

http://sofrep.com/36086/truth-jesse-venturas-navy-seal-status/

http://information.usnavyseals.com/2009/07/ten-most-famous-navy-seals.html

From:
http://www.public.navy.mil/nsw/Pages/History.aspx
“On May 1, 1983, all UDTs were redesignated as SEAL Teams or Swimmer Delivery Vehicle Teams (SDVT). SDVTs have since been redesignated SEAL Delivery Vehicle Teams.”

Please explain to me what the difference was between UDT operators in the early ‘70s and the early ‘80s. It seems that NSW simply decided to redesignate — not require them to go back through all the training again as any non-Seal would presumably have to go through. They didn’t do that for former Army cooks or other service members who enlisted in the Navy.

What specific Seal Team were the original members of Seal Team 6 on right after they joined that unit? 6 wasn’t the official Seal team designation at the time. Were those guys not Seals either because no one could say what specific Seal Team they were on? You are essentially arguing that Pontiac is not a GM product because it isn’t a separate brand RIGHT NOW. Well, it WAS a brand and WAS a GM product.

You can try and shout me down, but it won’t work. Pretty childish as well as foolish. Unless you can show me someone from NSW who would put in writing that Ventura was NOT a Seal and did not go to Bud/s, you’re incorrect.

“He went to Buds. He’s a Seal. Your distinction is meaningless.”

You’re a moron and a jerk, and I don’t throw those terms around lightly. I was assigned to both a UDT Team and two SEAL teams, how about you, expert?

So, what SEAL team was fake SEAL Ventura assigned to?

Foreign officers and others attend BUD/S. They are NOT SEALs if they graduate. They are graduates of BASIC UDT/SEAL training. They are NOT SEALs.

Ditto non-Army troops going to Ranger school. If they make it, they are graduates of Ranger school. They are NOT RANGERS.

Why am I arguing with some pimple-faced fatty in his underwear in his mommy’s basement, surrounded by ‘Rasslin posters of his hero?

SEAL is not a brand. UDT is not a brand.

They are levels of achievement and U.S. Navy service-acknowledged qualifications for two different, though sometimes operationally-inter-mingled (ie for the duration of a mission/operation), military duties.

UDT members redesignated (in 1983) as SEAL team operations members (note the choice of words), underwent SEAL training and additional training, to meet “service-acknowledged qualifications” to be SEAL team members.

Being a participant in some SEAL operation, does not make one a SEAL team member.

Redesignation in 1983, was not retroactive for discharged and inactive-duty (ie out of the service) UDT members, given public information available to date.

Only formal U.S. Navy acknowledgement of qualifications make one a SEAL team member. The same was true for UDT.

Jesse Ventura’s somewhat over-sensitivity of his imagining that he’s been looked down upon for not qualifying to be a SEAL, has diverted his mind from where he has otherwise had a life to live. Nothing that he does, can make him a SEAL. He still has time to go on and do good ... and even be a hero for some kids / people somewhere, someday, who need him.

If he would focus on that, instead of what he “could a been.”

Whatever are some wrongs that Jesse Ventura now wishes to right, in his view, are costing him time and money, neither which he has ... and neither will he likely gain in court, no matter the court decision.

Jesse Ventura sees a lot of life as being adversarial; some group v. some other group; there are sides. That’s a political trap, and it’s one of the ball-and-chain imprisonments attached to the followers of socialism, like false pride.

Your school v. the other school, instead of realizing that life is something else.

In the trap, Jesse Ventura is caught in the desire to win *the contest.* He may also be listening too much to some people who know how to egg him on; and they don’t care about the outcome.

When winning, for the remainder of his life, has to do with enduring the struggle for food, clothing, and shelter and maintaining ways to keep up that work, while also pursuing forgiveness.

PS. In formal public relations issuance, Jesse Ventura has not claimed to be a SEAL.

Your argument is completely ignorant and wrong. UDT and SEAL has different training. BUD/S is just the first step of many. UDT and SEAL diverged in training after BUD/S. Only later, long after macho coward laid claim to it, did the Navy combine the two and get rid of UDT as a designation.

As Matt said, many guys, Marines included, that attended Ranger school are not Army Rangers. They just went there. Cross department training happens all the times but the trainee is not awarded recognition in most cases.

Maybe this is just me, but SEALs are taught there is no such thing as a “fair fight”. Win. Period.

“Now he’s crying”

That’s the rub. I think it did happen because he is still wound up about it.
