Cabinet ministers in Israel have their own popular constituencies. In the USA, they are mostly just presidential loyalists.

Netanyahu is signaling his move even farther left, and not just on Gaza.

Danon is Chairman of World Likud and a leader of the conservative “Tea Party” branch of the Likud, Netanyahu’s party. To his credit, Netanyahu uas not abandoned the Likud the way that Sharon did when he started Kadima to sell the Jews of Gaza down the river and start the process of Hamas dominance there.

We don’t cheer when GOPe purges the Republican party here and we should not celebrate when Netanyahu marginalizes passionate lovers of Israel from the right like Danon and Bennett — especially when Netanyahu cozies up with Tzipi Livni and other leftists who used to affiliate with the Likud.

Danon mever was a whiner and that kind of unsupported charActer assassination is a sly attempt to delegitimize conservatives. For Star Traveler to say this is comparable to John McCain’s former campaign advisors slamming Sarah Palin.

For shame.
