A Malaysian passenger airliner with 295 people on board crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border, Interfax cited an aviation industry source as saying on Thursday.

There are no confirmed American dead, an earlier Reuters report claimed that it was feared that as many as 23 U.S. citizens had perished.

01.03 Malaysia Airlines have moved to stress that the flight route taken by the plane that came down in Ukraine had been declared safe by the UN aviation arm, the International Civil Aviation Organisation.
They also said the International Air Transportation Association “had stated that the airspace the aircraft was traversing was not subject to restrictions”.
The airline said the plane was carrying a total 298 people, including three infants - 283 passengers and 15 crew. It earlier said it had been carrying 295 people which did not account for the three young children.

Complete and utter horseshit. Air defense experts from all over the globe were looking at crash photos, debris fields and flight tracking data and making the same assessment long before the American official confirmed radar and IR data supporting a SAM launch.
There was no Ukrainian jet in the area and Putin’s plane never went anywhere near Ukrainian airspace.
I expect Freepers to use more rational deductive reasoning and basic common sense. This “Putin’s plane” crap is just that: crap. Easily refuted and serves only to make those who repeat it look like useful fools.

I wouldn't get so het up. It's a free country. Pity that the guy can't get past whatever allegiances prevent him from acknowledging this travesty and the problematic behavior (Russian territorial expansion via proxies) that caused it.
This misdirection from those like McGruff may well be to get us off focus on what is coming from our enemy Russia. Putin plays 5 or more moves ahead while Obama hasn’t a clue.

Plane caught on film by miners working near where the plane went down...caught it on video just before exploding on the ground........If the plane was shot down wouldn’t there have been visible a fireball in this video and a large smoke trail? I ask because this video shows the plane as it hits the ground and bursts into a fireball then? Wouldn’t the fire exploding at the ground (airplane fuel) indicate the larger body of the plane came down pretty much in one piece? Some bodies were still strapped in their seats on the ground.... and why the air-traffic wasn’t diverted once it was suposedly discovered that the rebels had those missiles? CNN reported this information had been known for a week.

I really don’t put all that much trust of those actually fighting in Ukraine. neither Keiv Gov. nor The Anti-Kiev forces...it’s a war and information always will be framed accordingly.... About all we can do is report from other sources as it comes in .
But this Airliner going down is an ‘International Incident’...so there will be a complete investigation if for no other reason then the families will demand it.
I understand the UN Security Council has called for special session regarding the events and the crash. Not that what they do is significant....but it does indicate this isn’t just about what Ukraine Authorities will report, or other interested parties.

At least 2 BUK-M1’s that were taken when the rebels overran the Heavy AA Brigade based in Donetsk last month. It is not known if they have the entire mobile installation operational. From what I have heard of this event, so far, it doesn’t sound like it.

Umfortunately, during the biggest news of an event I have been trying to closely follow, I have been traveling, and without reliable Internet service. I didn’t even hear about this until I was clearing Customs at FLL Exec Airport today.
I literally just walked in the door. Give me a couple of hours to catch up on the news, and I’ll have a better idea of what is happening.

There is a spanish airspace-controller who worked in Kiev’s airport at the time of event who saw on his monitor the two Ukrainian aircrafts approach the Malaysian aircraft three minutes ‘before it disappeared from Radar’ .....I suspect as the Authorities investigate his screen will or not prove if this was so or not and assist in the investigation.

Look above the impact point just as the explosion begins. There IS a smoke trail. This isn’t a Hollywood movie, so It is very likely that is all there is to see.

No point in an investigation or arguing who was behind the crash, as CNN and Hillary Clinton solved it in 35 minutes.....LOL... and the BBC is jumping on board as well....... according to them ‘only’ the Russians are responsible by either ordering the take down or supplied the rockets that made it possible..... Of course Hillary has to get her word in ASAP for political purposes....is anyone really listening to her?
