It’s what the Neo-Soviet Russians on FR do.

Disgusting isn’t it.

Russian attacking Ukraine is a civil war?

Why do you support Russia’s attacking a sovereign nation?

......”Why any commander in a war zone would think to shoot at a plane travelling at 33,000 feet along a known commercial flight path...”

Any commander in a war zone would not have a problem firing at a plane in it’s airspace ‘in an active war zone’.

Are you an idiot or do you just play one here on FR.

That is not his airspace -- it is an international commercial airline route that even Russian airliners travel. Will he shoot those down as well???

If shot down by a BUK1, and if traveling at 490knots at about 33000 ft, then it reads as though it took the BUK system about 5 min to acquire the target from some 72 miles away, a launch to impact about 15 seconds, then if the debris field is about 9 miles long, the aircraft must have had substantial initial damage, retained some aerodynamic properties for about 5-25 seconds before breaking up and plummeting another 40 seconds to earth. The craft appears to have skidded a long ways rather than a vertical dive.

I haven’t seen any indication of the missile trail, which should have been as prolific as the descent.

I wonder how many drones are flying around the area.

“Why anycommander in a war zone would think to shoot at a plane travelling at 33,000 feet along a known commercial flight path”

You are a barely trained rebel, sitting in a metal coffin, in a city you were sent to because Kiev has been bombing it heavily by air. You are (likely) the “hero” that shot down at least an AN-26 a couple of days ago, and likely a couple of SU’s that Kiev won’t admit went down, because there isn’t any video of it they cannot deny.

Your sight range is approx 42KM, and the target comes directly over Kiev-held Dnipropetrovsk, where Kiev is launching other airstrikes from. You know Kiev is launching airstrikes to try and save the large Army that is trapped, out of food and fuel, and already falling apart in Southern Donetsk/Luhansk.

FOG OF WAR....

Do we know if Kiev has already used faked sqwawks to cover other airstrikes? Do we know if they have used Commercial Aircraft profiles before to cover strike aircraft??

Lots of unknowns here, but I still fall to my original thoughts.

The war is a civil war between Ukrainians supporting and Ukrainians opposing the Kiev government.

It is also a proxy war by outsiders who are attempting to control Ukraine’s resources and use it to their advantage.

It is also a war among Oligarchs attempting to retain there sphere of control.

This isn’t the first time Ukraine’s played this roll...it’s always been a flash point.....in the end it will be a debtor state if it goes fully with the EU, cha-ching cha-ching then to outside corporate interests.

“I’m stunned that you are blaming the pilot of the Malaysian airliner —”

Please link to when I said that.

We know the rebs shot it down, what I want to know is why it was even allowed to fly there, in the first place!!

Having been one myself, I place “blame” with the DISPATCHER, first and foremost, and I have already explained why.

There’s really not that many unknowns.

Here I’ll help you out with the knowns:

1) Russians shot down an airplane.
2) You’re making excuses and trying to cover it up an a conservative forum.
3) You look like an idiot.

It’s actually not a civil war. It’s Russia invading a sovereign nation.

Ukraine has played this role before, Russia has always wanted to control Ukraine, and Ukraine has always fought for it’s own freedom.

It’s really that simple.

"Why anycommander in a war zone would think to shoot at a plane travelling at 33,000 feet along a known commercial flight path that is moving out of his airspace is beyond comprehension."

To establish air supremacy after achieving air superiority, and air dominance if neither are recognized by his adversary.

....”They are morons with dangerous weapons”....

Well there have always been those even within the experienced armed forces. Heck Ukraine shot down one of Russia’s planes by mistake and it wasn’t even a war zone... they were suppose to know what they were doing.

“it is an international commercial airline route that even Russian airliners travel.”

I have been following FlightRadar 24 over Ukraine for several weeks, since it became clear that they had AA capability.

I have been amazed that commercial airliners were still flying over a “War Zone”, (most airlines rerouted away from it) but, as I posted before, there is a political element here, as well.

To admit there is a “War Zone”, is to admit there is a “Civil War”, as well.

Note how hard the Kiev trolls try to control THE LANGUGE of this event. It isn’t a “Civil War”, it is an “Anti-Terrorist Operation”. It wasn’t a “Coup”, it was the “Not-a-coup” coup. Those aren’t actual Nazi’s in the Right Sector Militias, in the Maidan Demonstrations, or in the Governemnt, they are the “not-A-Nazi!” Nazi’s.

If Kiev had issued a warning to airlines, they would have had to admit they are fighting a “Civil War”, not “Terrorists”, and frankly, I don’t think the Obama Administration would have allowed that.

It oozes from all your posts here.

What part of "it's an international commercial flight path" do you not understand???

You do know that Putin's plane travelled the same route today -- didn't his pilot know that he was flying over a WAR ZONE???

Well Ukraine had always been Russia in the past.....regardless of their independence many there are Russian especially in the Eastern areas. And because it’s on Russia’s border it has always been influenced with and by Russia.

Ukraine will always be fighting at one point or another.....the citizens are unable to stop the musical chairs of the powerful in their country who continue to sell them out. Additionally you have two different cultures within the state who have never gotten along for long.

Most countries who have two distinct cultures always have conflicts....but if the ‘location’ of the nation is significant, and or it’s ‘resources’ you will always also have outside nation leaders playing it like a ball in a tennis court.
