I was just thinking about this....

Today, after we were handed off into U.S. airspace, (I was not the PIC), we didn’t question the routing we were given into FXE. We just followed it, around some scattered stuff all the way to the threshold.

WHO routed that aircraft over an active war zone?

As the current FlightRadar24 shot clearly shows, several Euro and Asian aircraft are flying routes over Crimea, right now.

Central Queensland University accident investigation and safety specialist professor Geoff Dell:

...”the airline should never have been flying over the country.

“From as soon as the conflict started they shouldn’t have been going anywhere near it,” Dell said.

“They should’ve shifted to alternate routes, like all the other airlines seemed to have done.

“You just don’t go anywhere near it unless you’ve got no alternatives and there’s always the alternative of not going.”

“Don’t be surprised if we find that there was a hijacker with a bomb on board”

I don’t think so....
It is all too probable that this was a shootdown, by the rebels.

Using equipment, by the way, that Kiev and their trolls vehemently denied that the rebels even had until a few hours ago.

WHO cares? Seriously, pick someone: Yarosh, McCain, Soros . . . anyone you wish. The plane was shot down by Russian thugs and people are dead. Who do you want to blame?

It’s possible that some have special permission to do so but that is still a NO FLY ZONE to the rest.

So if you have to fly over one or the other then which one is safer — the NO FLY ZONE or the War Zone???

Do you know why zero and company are feigning ignorance of the passenger manifest?

Well that question would only be answerable if it was the Russians. Doesn’t look to be that under current reports....rather possibility a misfire by someone trigger happy.... Who...is also yet undetermined.

I heard earlier today that there were 23 Americans abroad but when the official list came out they showed no Americans.

It’s possible that 23 could have been dual citizens and they just listed them under their other nationality.

It would seem whoever did re-route them likely knew they were above that ceiling of the no fly zone. I think that the general perception was that the AA being utilized by the separatists were the shoulder fired variety that only has a ceiling of around 15,000 feet(ish) and not much thought was being given to the potential of more advance systems being used since they had not been up to that point.

I think it would be interesting to know who gave MH17 the redirection too and I imagine that it will come out eventually, but I really think that it won’t mean a whole lot. I doubt we will find that the traffic control intentionally directed the plane into that zone with the intent of getting it shot down. More likely it was someone who didn’t think it would be a risk since the plane was at such a high altitude (which is clearly a mistake).

“It takes an entire platoon of trained engineers, mechanics, and strategists to operate a SAM battery”

One - This isn’t a Patriot battery, it is an AFV designed to be operated by four people. 4 Soviet-trained people, which means 4 half-a**ed trained people. It is actually designed for this. Most Soviet equipment was designed to be run by stupid people, which is why they have always been popular with third worlders. It can be operated individually, or as part of a larger battery.

Two - Ukraine, as did the Soviet Union before it, had compulsory Universal service until very recently, meaning every able-bodied male had to serve at least 1-2 years, if they couldn’t get an exemption.

Are you trying to tell me that out of the millions in Southeast Ukraine, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to find four people who knew at least the basics of operating a BUK??Especially given how many from the AA Regiment in Donetsk went over to the Rebels??

Or from among the Russian Volunteers, almost all whom were vets themselves?

Using equipment, by the way, that Kiev and their trolls vehemently denied that the rebels even had until a few hours ago.

Let me illuminate what you are talking about, you lying pile of Soviet rat crap, for other readers. You are referring to a Russkie story planted in Russian media, alleging that the "rebels" captured a Ukranian BUK unit, before said unit was transferred to the rebels. The evidence for the story? NONE.

In the report above they mention that the rebels were bragging about capturing Buk missiles. On June 29th there were articles published to this effect, but the stories seem to only be carried by Russian state-operated news agencies. The original source for the story appears to be TV Zvezda, the news agency for the Russian Ministry of Defense. It's not clear that the separatists ever captured Buks from the Ukrainian military or whether these stories were a front to explain how the rebels obtained such advance weaponry.

http://www.interpretermag.com/ukraine-liveblog-day-150-ukrainian-troops-describe-grad-rocket-attack-from-russia/

The Interpreter has shown, again and again, that right before the Russkies send tanks or something over the border, they plant in their media claims that the separatists "captured" them somewhere.

And THIS is what you are repeating, like the lying pile of crap you are, on this forum, while double-lying about "Kiev and their trolls vehemently [denying]" things.
