Well perhaps all the city dwellers will have to ride mountain bikes. When I lived in Minnesota I had the misfortune of having to listen to two morons fight over what was more green, riding a bike or walking. There apparently was a push to have bike lanes in the tunnels and sky ways up in the cities. Oy Vey!:)

How can a president fix more roads and bridges without any new money to spend?

The entire MSM narrative on transportation spending is a lie. Obama has new money to spend, but he's not fixing roads and bridges. This money is going to a bunch of mass transportation and "green" boondoggles. Even the money that is purportedly being spent on roads and bridges includes overpriced extravagances like electronic billboards and highway monitoring systems.

If Congress appropriates $50 billion for road repair this year, then $50 billion for road repair next year, the MSM construes that as Obama not having money. Or if Obama asks for $60 billion and Congress provides for $50 billion, then the MSM portrays it as a "deficit" in the highway "trust fund." There are so many lies and abuses of language in how the MSM reports on transportation issues that the MSM makes Orwell look like an amateur.

Sounds like a plan to give the highway system to private entities (the chinese?) for the cost of repair (what a deal!). What do they get in exchange? How about a toll system to for taxpayers to have to pay to use roads that their money built, as well as continued tax money from the federal government?
