Ron Paul: If MH17 Missile Was Russian, So What? ISIS Has U.S. Weapons

While both the Ukrainian and Russian governments continue to point fingers at one another for the MH17 crash, former Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) urged caution Friday against jumping to any conclusions about where blame lies.

Some American pundits accuse Vladimir Putin of having “blood on his hands” since the missile that took down the Malaysia Airlines flight may have been a Russian weapon given to pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine.

Speaking with Newsmax TV’s John Bachman earlier today, Paul said “Putin is a little bit smarter than that. I don’t think he would ever come close to participating in an act like this.”

“At the same time, there have been these new sanctions from the White House,” Bachman replied. “And there have been a lot of fingers pointed in Putin’s direction for not directly being involved but being complicit with the fact that some of these weapons — he might turn his back to it — but they’re Russian weapons.”

Paul’s response: “That may well be true, but guess what? ISIS has a lot of American weapons. We send weapons into Syria to help the rebels and if al Qaeda ends up getting it, it doesn’t mean our American government and Obama deliberately wanted ISIS to get American weapons.”

Actually we don't send weapons to Syria. Saudi Arabia and Qatar do, but the USA doesn't.

Putin does arm terrorists in Ukraine.

What was that CIA compound all about in Benghazi?

The person who owns the BEST knowledge of the full depth of covert transfer of US weapons to the crazies is OBAMA, right?

Put your thinking caps on, people:

He’s treacherous, sure, but was that the ONLY reason his first reaction to the MH17 shoot-down was soooo muted…?

Isn’t it more likely that his current behavior is LOGICAL, given something SECRET..?

4 Americans died at Benghazi, but the terrorist Kadaffy murdered dozens of innocent American civilians.

Rare, but Ron Paul NAILS IT here.

If Russia fired the weapon, they should be blamed. If Ukrainians (of either side) fired the weapon, then THEY should be blamed, not Russia.

But the REAL BLAME belongs with the airline, for flying over an ACTIVE COMBAT ZONE where planes had just recently been shot down.

In other words, if I’m a 25 year old woman that decides to walk to downtown Baltimore from a few miles out, at 2 in the morning, and I get raped - yes, technically, it is the fault of the rapist. But I am still raped and have to live with it, for the rest of my life.

“4 Americans died at Benghazi, but the terrorist Kadaffy murdered dozens of innocent American civilians.”

Kadaffy got punished, ultimately...any word on our people that caused and then covered up Benghazi?

Who is the worst, Obama or Putin?

I would never have guessed that I would rate a U.S. President as more evil than a Russian leader but I do.

We don’t arm the Syrians. That’s why Assad is still in power.

Have to agree.

Let us suppose for a moment that a plane full of Americans was shot down in Iraq during a landing, by one of the MANPADS we provided to Islamists.
What would the reaction be?

Obviously we would be rightly outrage at McShame and Obama for allowing those weapons to be given to terrorists, but the bigger question would be WHY any plane with Americans was in Iraq.

These separatists in Ukraine committed a disgusting and atrocious act, murdering men women and children. The fact that Putin is now trying to cover it up to some degree is a disgrace and he should be held to account.

But I also want to know WHY Ukrainian air traffic control signed off on diverting that plane over rebel territory when they KNEW that this weaponry was in the hands of the separatists. The separatists are the murderers here, but Ukrainian air traffic control signed these people’s death warrant.

Let me know when your imaginary scenario actually happens. Meanwhile, Putin’s atrocities are the reality we have to deal with now.

Obviously the Russian trained terrorists stole the BAM from Russia and then when they were caught using it they kindly retuned it to Russia with their apologies and a full tank of gas.

Where do these idiots come from? Is it the fluoride in the water?

Pretty sure American weapons were used in the attack on Benghazi. No weapons should be given to Muslims under any circumstances.
