Prospose a new law:

No pension or employment for any employee with any active role in hiding or destroying these records.

And that’s after the incarceration.

If the tapes exist, Congress had better find them quick before the dog eats them.

immediate 100% defunding of the IRS and IRS pensions would produce the missing email messages relatively quickly.

New ones have been written to replace the destroyed ones.
Now they can be released and guess what? Nothing there, just like they said.

The next step will probably be an excited "We found them!" and we'll see a dump of forwarded jokes and male enhancement ads, along with a few birthday wishes emails from Lerner to her family and friends.

Yup, that's all of 'em - nothing to see here! End of case!

IRS official: Lost Lois Lerner emails may still exist

Not for long.

Wow, if those back-up tapes exist, then the head of the IRS is in big trouble. If they exist and those of others who conspired to crash their hard drives can be found on back-up tapes, then there is surely something they were trying to hide and that something will probably be quite explosive.

Please pass the popcorn as the summer progresses and we get closer to the November elections!

That is what the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee suggested Monday morning in a newly released transcript of a recent closed-door interview with IRS Deputy Associate Chief Counsel Thomas Kane.

Runs in the family?

WHY NOT a whistle-blower incentive?

If an employee supplies info that leads to a conviction of hiding or destroying IRS email, then the whistle-blower gets a 50% pay bump for that year and a choice of transfer to a different full-time job in another gov. department.

I think this is a really good idea.

Everyone cc’d on any email she sent has a record. Every server either computer used has a record. Deleted files are never deleted. Congress is complicit in helping her story become valid because they have not brought in out side IT pros.

The only way they don’t exist is if a low level IT lackey was ordered to scrub the servers by the WH on down.

"Kane: I don't know whether they are or they aren't, but it's an issue that's being looked at."

Translation: We're trying to find and destroy the tapes.
