***We could carve out an uninhabitated corner of the geographical center and put it there.***
The AMAZING CRISWELL of CRISWELL PREDICTS said the capitol would be moved to WICHITA KANSAS.
But then he was never right.

Yeah, I think they should be GIVEN BACK TO VIRGINIA & MARYLAND. If they let "Western Maryland" secede that would be a great trade....that would net two more GOP Senators and at least 1 Congressman.
Or let DC become and State along with Western Maryland. That would maintain the balance of gridlock.

Obama would love to screw this country up with as much leftist idolatry as possible. If it is bad for America, Obama loves it.

Actually, it would be the 61st state, since what Obama actually said was that he had been campaigning in 57 states, he had one left to go, but that he was not going to be able to make it to Alaska or Hawaii (so obviously he meant to say 47). But anyway, that would make DC the 61st state then.

I am a big proponent of the Congress meeting every year for six weeks from July 15 through August 30th to pass a budget and do all the nations normal business. No Air Conditioning in any buildings. Especially any buildings that house Federal Employees of any department that excercises control over the citizenry.
The Congress should be housed in college style dorms, 1980 dorms not 2012 dorms. Two Congressmen in each 10’X8’ dorm room with bunk beds two desks and toilets and showers DOWN THE HALL. They can al eat in the Cafeteria. They will have a limit on amount they can spend.
The POTUS can have his own room, kind of like a Residence Advisor. But he would still have to use the gang showers and toilets. A favorite hang out for Barney Frank.
The SCOTUS could meet for a week. to handle any court cases. No judicial review of constitutionality. We have to rid ourselves of the first great power grab of Marbury VS Madison.
Ah yes, a more perfect union!

He was never an adjunct professor, or any type of professor. He was an instructor. A part timer given a class in order to get a regular paycheck while trying to get elected to a political office. ANY political office. As that was his way of paying his bills and supplementing the family income by getting his wife more and more sack jobs for political pay offs.

Don't think it crazy. Texas was originally supposed to be several states. It could easily be separated into four states and still have four large states in size and population

Well Kenyan boy, if you’re for it, then I’m against it!!! I don’t think it’s a very bright move to allow a basket case totally reliant on taxpayer dollars to become a state. Of course, I’m not a Kenyan Marxist from Chicago.

"Folks in D.C. pay taxes like everybody else."
Um, actually no they don't. Folks in DC live off the taxes everyone else pays. They only pay taxes to create the illusion that they are the same as everyone else. In reality, government workers earn more than twice as much as private sector workers in wages and benefits.

The Congress shall have Power To
exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States
(The U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 8, Clause 17)
I'll take James Madison's reasoning for the District of Columbia being a federal district under the supervision of Congress over that of a professional failure who masqueraded as a law lecturer at some point in the distant past.

How pathetic..obozo addressing a room of young boys today..is that the best audience he could muster? Reminds me of the last days of the war in Germany, and that popular picture of a defeated Hitler, one hand behind his back, shaking, as he reviews his troops, composed of young boys and teenagers, and old men. I can't wait to see this evil man destroyed, for all the pain, suffering and death (i.e. the bodies of illegal alien children found dead on Texas soil, from illness, as one example, Benghazi as another, and so on.)

Moving the seat of government and making it uncomfortable for congress critters would further the cause of liberty. I like your idea. Keep politicians away from the cocktail parties and lobbyists inducements. There are far too many "distractions" in Washington. they need to be more like monks in a monastery where they can spend their time reflecting upon the great honor and responsibility that has been bestowed on them. Maybe then they will become half the statesmen that our forefathers were.
