The “gay” Republicans I know don’t use their sexual preferences to define who they are.They do not use their gay exhibitionism as a crutch to beat people over the head.

I know that the first-mentioned candidate (of three), Carl DeMaio, does not play up his sexual orientation. He’s not closeted/ doesn’t utterly avoid mention of it, but I was relieved to see that the issue is barely a blip on his campaign tracker. It’s all about cutting spending/ regulation and letting businesses create jobs, etc.
