If you dig a small trench and put something like plywood on top and then pile the bodies of the dead enemy on top the trench becomes a safe zone because of the hydrogen in the dead bodies. If you need to launch further small neutron weapons then sending them straight up over the trench and detonating them means your troops inside the trench have protection. A pile of dead bodies is like a pile of salty water you see... we are mostly made of water.
