n a Thursday briefing to county leaders, Sheriff Chuck Jenkins said a "full deployment of military resources" to the U.S.-Mexico border is needed to address the illegal-immigration issues he witnessed during his recent trip to Texas.
[snip] "It's really, really hard to believe you're in America," Jenkins told Frederick County commissioners during Thursday's meeting. "You feel like you're in a combat zone."
Jenkins spent about 20 minutes detailing his experience visiting McAllen, Texas, with several other sheriffs from around the nation. In the trip's aftermath, Jenkins said he and the other law enforcement leaders will formulate recommendations, which they hope the National Sheriffs' Association will present to federal decision-makers.

The People’s last line of defense is their local Sheriff, if and only if the Sheriff is a Constitutional Conservative. If that Sheriff believes in a stronger and more powerful federal system, do yourself and your family a favor and vote that Sheriff into retirement.
I live in Loudoun County Va, just across the border from Frederick Md. Sheriff Jenkins is a no-nonsense type of Leo. Not quite as tough as Sheriff Joe, but close. The western part of Md. is very conservative. Sadly they are outvoted by the liberal eastern part of the state.
Am happy for you and yours that yours is a no-nonsense type of LEO Sheriff. You and yours are blessed to be so lucky. Mine is also no-nonsense and conservative. I live in the Hornet’s Nest of conservatism.

No, I wish Sheriff Jenkins was our Sheriff. The one we’re stuck with is former DEA and he replaced a long time good guy. Since our new Sheriff took over, there have been two citizens shot to death. One was a woman who was serving pizza samples in the Sterling Virginia Costco. She was having a breakdown and carrying a pair of scissors around the store. When the deputies arrived they tazed her, and when that failed they shot her.

The American people don’t know where “their” sheriff stands politically. All they may know is his name, and if he is the incumbent, he has a lock on the office.
People in eastern MD truly believe in everything bad.
Let’s see if a resolution comes forth. Pressure on the enemy inside our gates (including obama) is being applied. I still trust America and the American People.
