I didn’t attribute it to a particular time because there have been periods interspersed with others where things changed less drastically than other periods (RRs 8 years for example). But you are right - it goes back to the Kennedy reign IMO, even before that in some aspects.
There have always been liberal periods and dole outs of entitlements. But it really did not change drastically until LBJs Great Society binge.
Regardless, the final change is here with these next two awful years.

IMHO you might want to look back a little earlier in time to Wilson and FDR. They sowed the wind that Obama is now turning into a whirlwind, soon to be reaped.
It started with the Fedral Reserve Act, 1913. I predict it ends with the petrodollar, near future.
