Technically it means that he is afraid of homos. Walt probably did not like homos. I doubt if he was afraid of them.

These days, "Homophobic" is a term applied to anyone who does not enthusiastically embrace and promote the gay agenda at every possible opportunity, and/or expresses support for traditional marriage.
