Mike Huckabee Fans Revolt After He Endorses Lamar Alexander
Breitbart ^ | 7/28/2014 | Tony Lee

Posted on 07/28/2014 10:41:47 AM PDT by bkopto

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee angered his Facebook fans after endorsing Sen. Lamar Alexander against conservative state Representative Joe Carr last month.

Carr has been endorsed by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham for the August 7th primary. And Carr has been relentlessly hammering Alexander for voting for the Senate's amnesty bill even after law enforcement officials warned Alexander that it would lure more illegal immigrants from Central America.

Nearly every one of close to 450 comments beneath Huckabee's announcement on his Facebook page blasts Huckabee for supporting Alexander.

One Huckabee fan said, "We supported and worked hard to get Governor Huckabee delegates when he ran in TN. His endorsement of Lamar with his liberal voting record is both an insult and disappointment."

Another supporter wrote, "With this endorsement, you lose my support and funds!" The Huckabee fan said that "Alexander has repeatedly proven himself ... to be as bad a rino and sellout to the conservative cause as" Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and singled out his support for "amnesty over simple enforcement of existing laws."

Here is a sampling of the blowback from Huckabee's own supporters in the past month, exactly as they appear on Facebook:

-Are you serious? You are not the conservative I thought you were. Lamar Alexander is the most liberal republican in the state of Tennessee.

-We supported and worked hard to get Governor Huckabee delegates when he ran in TN. His endorsement of Lamar with his liberal voting record is both an insult and disappointment.

I have been saying it repeatedly on this site, Huckabee is little more than a useful idiot to the establishment. They trot him out when they need help rounding up Christian Conservatives who are starting to stray away from the pre-determined choice. They also wheel him out when they need the conservative vote split in presidential primaries. Make sure his supporters don’t coalesce behind a single conservative.

Anyone who follows Huckabee and supports him is being played for a fool.

If Steve Harvey ever gets tired of hosting Family Feud, Huckabee will have found his ideal career.

Your assessment of Huckabee and his acolytes is as accurate an assessment as I’ve seen. Huckabee is a dense, vain fool who fancies himself as president, but is in fact nothing more than a useful idiot pushed by establishment Republicans to split the conservative vote every 4 years.

Of course the Huckster would back Alexander.

They are both amnesty loving nanny staters.

It’s a perfect match.

I saw him on FoxNews over the weekend. The Huck has been putting on the pounds — from the side view, he is rivaling Chris Christie.

Wow! It took some people this long to see Smuckabee for what he really is? Incredible.

Some of us saw through his act in 2008.

Too many latch onto a candidate/wannabe and project what they want the candidate to be and do not see who the candidate really is. The half-dozen crashed bandwagons from 2012 are a testament to that.

During the 2008 primary Huckabee came to Chattanooga...

I asked him about his support of illegal aliens...

he refused to answer me and scowled at me..

at that time Lamar! was busy pushing the various AMNESTY Bills..

Im not surprised Mike Huckabee is endorsing Lamar! now..

Huckabee truly has jumped the shark. His radio show played on KSFO here in the frisco area and was a total bomb. They cancelled it after a few months.

They didn't cancel it, he quit.  He bombed nationwide.

The SF Bay area is probably the worst ground for Huckabee's Christian Socialism. The right leaning people are more libertarians and the socialists hate religion.

Do tell? Here is an image from the San Francisco March for Life:

I'll accept your apologies.

From the front he looks like Larry Mondello, with greasy fingers and chin.

Same with Fred Thompson. The MSM drags them out of the woodwork when needed.

I believe abortion hurts babies far more than it “hurts women”.

When these women get chopped into pieces and the life blood sucked out of them, then and only then will they have my sympathy.

I don't think they're asking for it.
