OK....so I must have thought that it was more than a resolution. (we used to call those “sense of the House or Senate resolutions”

They are useless in terms of their effect and are a copout.

What was really ticking me off and why I made the comment, is that there are 356 bills passed by the House that are languishing in the Senate.

There is a speech in the house right now with that matter as a topic. Rob Woodall

A Freeper had an excellent suggestion that I think Senator Cruz needs to hear.

The suggestion was for a state governor to file for a federal injunction against any legalizations or movements of illegal aliens across national borders or state borders until the court could sort out the law which could take a year or more. That would give time for republicans to take control of the Senate and put an end to the border insurgency.

But I have my doubts about US Senate republicans.

Yup.

As soon as these elections are behind us, everyone’s attention will turn to 2016. The media (and public attention) will then turn to this:

waiting for the media to have a ridiculous, Lion King-like moment when Hillary announces her candidacy..
poll updates..
watching our GOP candidates fighting each other for votes..
electoral map estimations..
fluffy “ha ha!” B.S. stories about how Obama is spending his last two years residing in the White House..
latest swing state numbers..
mainstream media twisting GOP candidates’ words to manufacture controversy..
more electoral college projections..

And so on.

For me, the GOP “leaders” (I use that term lightly) have inspired zero confidence in their ability to fight the leftists. And even if we’re able to take-down the Obama presidency, what next?

The target at this point needs to be Hillary. We need to target *her* and bring her political aspirations down, before she’s able to fool the dim voting majority this country has.

That’s bad isn’t it?

Yes, and the Republicans will be blamed for it.

They don't call them the stupid party because they're smart.

That pretty much says it for me.

Defund the asshole. Congress can do this unilaterally.

I would have voted against it too. They are going to complain to the court that Obama hasn’t implemented the employer mandate. Do they really want him to? No.

This is all Kabuki Theater.

Do you want the employer mandate enforced?

It’s all theater. If the GOPE thought this lawsuit would have serious consequences they’d never go for it.

Saw your screen name and had a memory flash.

My wife and I attended an Al Stewart concert in 1972. She was my girlfriend then. It was a student event at Newark College of Engineering(now New Jersey Institute of Technology) in Newark, NJ .There were only about 300 people there—it was not a big venue concert, just a small one. Of course, you can’t get folks to go into Newark, NJ on a Friday night, even back then.

There was a lot of pot being smoked—first time I ever smelled it.

Funny, the things you remember.

Actually, I am telling the truth. I am not a smoker—of anything, and never have been.

The concert was a student event, and we were not concert goers.

But Al Stewart was relatively famous for our neck of the woods, and we wanted to go see him.

We left early because the pot smell really got to us. We had to wash the smell out of our clothes.

This case will never get to discovery. Not in a million years.

The lawsuit will be lucky to be tried in court before late 2015. It’s not going to do anything but make lawyers rich in the meantime. Fix the VA, pass laws and do your job Boehner.

we used to call those “sense of the House or Senate resolutions”

This is equivalent to a "vote of no confidence" in other governments. Which is not necessarily a bad thing.

I suppose it’s better than nothing.

But that is not saying much..

Frankly, I am all for a coup, insurrection, tar and feather party.

A federal law suit reminds me of stuff we went through with Clinton.

But this is worse because once he is out of office, it’s moot. It will take at least a couple years to get rolling and the admin and it’s sycophants will be all over it like a bunch of fire ants, biting everyone that tries to move it forward, filing delays, and extensions. Rejecting requests for discovery.

Obama will be out and shrooming before the ink dries on the court calendar..

But it’s better than nothing...I suppose.
