Washington DC, Abuja — IN a face-saving move and amid criticisms from Africans and Americans over his decision not to hold one-on-one meetings with presidents from Africa who will be participating in a three-day US-Africa summit this week in Washington DC, President Barack Obama has decided to slightly review the situation.

A top diplomatic source disclosed to The Guardian over the weekend that Obama has now agreed to ask his deputy Vice President Joe Biden to meet one-on-one with presidents of Nigeria, South Africa and Tunisia, just as some other African presidents, especially from North Africa are said to have opted out of participating in the US-Africa summit.

Not only is Nigeria's President on top of the three African leaders to eventually get the bilateral meeting with the US VP, White House officials hinted of a possible future one-on-one with President Obama with the Nigerian leader soon in the future.

Not only will this piss off the African leaders but with Biden possibly exposed to Ebola, wouldn't this leave John Boehner as President if the outbreak is worse than we thought? Before I read this, I thought for sure that security concerns would keep Biden well away from this summit.

My thoughts too.....the goon who occupies the WH can conveniently be out of town on vacation.. Is no one in the WH, Secret Service or State Department concerned about welcoming these people into the country, let alone the WH - limo services, hotels, restaurants, ENTERTAINMENT, what have you??????

This is really comical - an Africa/U.S. summit and the person who clings to his “blackness” isn’t going to meet with black leaders? Maybe he doesn’t want to appear WHITE next to them; which he would!!

>> Biden possibly exposed to Ebola

I doubt it would harm Biden — he’s as bloodless as they come, with no brain and no heart. What is there for the virus to attack?

If it goes after a-holes, though, we might be in luck. He’s essentially 100% a-hole.

Maybe one of them could spend time with Obama as his caddy. Now there’s a photo op!

Obama will be meeting the African leaders, just NOT one-on-one. That way he can use his teleprompter to greet them from the prepared script.

This is crazy. Why are they even coming here if Obama isn’t going to meet with them?

Arabs have a very low opinion of Africans... Some have speculated that Obama considers himself more Arab than African....

Top secret serum likely saved Ebola patients

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3188753/posts

They will just use the serum on Biden if he gets infected, Biden is more or less Bammy’s “Official Food/Medicine Taster”....

I think we are witnessing two things here.

Obama’s cowardice in the face of the current Ebola scare.

Obama’s indifference to anything relating to his job.

Ben Rhodes [Dep. National Security Advisor, brother of CBS head, NYU Master’s in “fictional writing”: “I will say that the President will have a chance to interact individually with each leader. That’s part of the purpose of having the dinner where he’ll be able to personally receive each leader attending the dinner. And so he will certainly speak with and interact with every leader who is coming here to the summit.”

So BO/MOzo greeting Af leaders in a WH over-the-top state dinner/photo-op receiving line equates to having one-on-one meetings?

&&&
And not have to worry about contracting Ebola.

Below is the only thing that I see about a dinner and it doesn’t appear to be at the WH AND WHO is going to pass up a chance to discuss INVESTMENTS with Nigeria? WOW! I guess assurances are made that the president will meet sometime in the future with the president of Nigeria? WHY??? But not until the Ebola threat is over, I guess.

“”But Nigeria’s Prof. Adefuye confirmed that President Jonathan would be personally attending and will be meeting with the US Vice President. Adefuye added that a significant number of US investors and businessmen would be hosting the Nigerian President to a dinner during the 3-day summit that starts tomorrow.

Explaining that this was a tremendous vote of confidence on Nigeria by the business people of America, Adefuye disclosed that the dinner organised by the Corporate Council for Africa, CCA and the US Chamber of Commerce was already over-subscribed as at last week, several days ahead of the dinner.””

I knew I hadn’t seen any reference to a WH dinner in the article posted....the word “dinner” just appeared out of thin air a couple of times without any preamble as to where it came from. Do you have the link to the Washington Post article? Does it have any more info?

Tuesday’s state dinner will be a “tented” affair on the WH lawn to accommodate the large crowd, like last February’s fete for the French Prez: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/02/12/a-look-at-the-obamas-state-dinner-likely-costing-hundreds-of-thousands-of-dollars/.
