BRUSSELS/DONETSK Ukraine (Reuters) Russia has massed around 20,000 combat-ready troops on Ukraines border and could use the pretext of a humanitarian mission to invade, NATO said on Wednesday, its starkest warning yet that Moscow could soon mount a ground assault against its neighbor.

Putin is firm on his suicidal mission. Russia, good-bye!
Can’t wait for Obammy to speak on this situation!/s
Before the Anschluss Hitler did exactly the same thing. The Austrians stood by and waved Nazi flags as the German troops rumbled in and then suddenly found out that it wasn’t what they had expected.

You won’t be able to understand him with that banana in his mouth. ;-)
Austrians were the most fervent Nazis, even more than the Germans.
The Russians are preparing to behave irresponsibly.
they have other plans you can be sure, not what it seems..
I wonder what the people who mocked Bush for calling Putin “Pootie Poot” are thinking now?
Do they realize he was marginalizing Putin and putting him in his place? What does Obamie Bamm think of that?
PING! That was fast!
>> Russia, good-bye!
I’m curious: what force do you believe will send them away?
Oooh, let's bring out the BIG guns, why don't we?
What? Surely you jest. I’m surprised it’s taking him this long. Seeing how he has nothing to fear from taking whatever he wants.
They still are.
Does NATO have an Army other than Uncle Sap’s?
The 20,000 troops on the border now are much less than the 50,000 that were there before.
As Wesley Clark noted on CNN yesterday, they are organized differently this time. They are light, highly mobile forces, that can’t really hold anything, but could move fast.
“The Austrians stood by and waved Nazi flags as the German troops rumbled in and then suddenly found out that it wasnt what they had expected.”
the problem with that analogy is that, this time, the actual, real-life Nazi’s are fighting on Kiev’s side, and running the War Effort (Defense Minister Parubiy).
Sounds like a repeat of a few months ago....lining up on the border etc. It seems to work to get the “invasion” touchy folks on edge, with the question of will he or won’t he?
And all this time Putin is denying that he has any troops [or piecemakers] on the border.
I suggest in the interest of peace that Ukraine should respond by denying that it has any troops surrounding Donetsk and Luhansk.
There it’s fixed — Peace in our time
