Davis said the latest Bear H incursions began Monday around 4:30 p.m. Pacific time when radar detected the four turbo-prop powered bombers approaching the U.S. air defense zone near the far western Aleutian Islands.

Two U.S. Air Force F-22 jets were scrambled and intercepted the bombers over the Aleutians.

After tracking the bombers as they flew eastward, two of the four Bears turned around and headed west toward the Russian Far East. The bombers are believed to be based at the Russian strategic base near Anadyr, Russia.

The remaining two nuclear-capable bombers then flew southeast and around 9:30 P.M. entered the U.S. northern air defense zone off the coast of Northern California.

Two U.S. F-15 jets were deployed and intercepted the bombers as they eventually flew within 50 miles of the coast before turning around and heading west.

My wife and I were on the ocean beach at Bodega Bay when this happened and saw our fighter plane go full bore headed SWS, when it cleared our shore line. It was out of sight in seconds.

A couple of weeks later, we saw and heard a repeat of what happened the first time.

Reminds me of the old hide and seek games we used to play with the Ruskies during the so called cold war.

I was a military dependent at Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico in the early 60’s when General Lemay visited our school. He was a regular guy not the horned beast the media portrays.

If in the service today, he would be teaching like Mattis...

” In February 1965, after dealing with intense criticism, Johnson and McNamara forced LeMay into retirement.”

Eventually the Russians will figure out that now is a good time
to make a good first strike. Even better when they learn it
will take two days to clear the Obama of his own pant-load.

Don’t make me laugh.

I hope to h*ll we never elect another Senator to the Presidency. You need people with conviction and action, and preferably military experience.

America should flood DC with pink slips. In the mail, from motorcycles, cars even drop them from airplanes, it should be like a ticker tape parade of pink slips until the cowards get the message.

Unfortunately a country foolish enough to elect a president whose middle name is Hussein after the events of 9/11 wont likely awake from their stupor until we are being marched into the camps. Maybe not even then.

“Until they start strafing the golf course, no action will be taken...”

Where does "the one" play golf - Bolling AFB, Andrews AFB? (unfortunately, the only thing the AF is noted for are their golf courses and O clubs) and who does he play with?

Putin sees a wormy weak leader and is now capitalizing on it.

Whey Obozo spoke those words to Medvedev (after the election I'll have more...), the Russians new they had him.

They sensed weakness. Now they are steppin up their game cause they know for certain the wuss in the white house will do nothing.

But are they Tu-95MS bombers or Tu-142 maritime reconnaissance platforms? The two planes look almost identical, but the Tu-142—normally an anti-submarine platform—carries a lot of electronics intelligence/signals intelligence (ELINT/SIGINT) equipment, performing missions akin to the RC-135V and RC-135W planes flown by the USAF.

Remember, it's Putin. He's becoming desperate and he could be planning another act of terrorism.

If he had any honor, he'd just resign in disgrace.
