A member of my extended family holds Conservative views on nearly every important issue of note.
But he voted lockstep for Democrats for four decades. At least until he retired from his union teaching job. Securing his benefits and pensions took priority over values and ideology apparently.

better yet; just think how much better it would’ve been had they not moved away from GOP voters after the victory we handed them four years ago.....i

And former GOP voters
Naw, man. You left. Form your own party. Get out of our hair. We are working to turn the party to the right. You gave up. See ya.

"Americans may not agree with most of the dems' stances, but they looooovvvvve dem summa dat free stuff!" I doubt that. I suspect it is more likely that they are unwilling to criticize the affirmative action president because of his skin color and the fact that he is the first one of that color to occupy the office. Anyone who points out his shortcomings will be accused of racism, so folks who would normally criticize keep their mouths shut.

Since I can't cut and paste all these great comments, yeah....
Imagine a GOPe actually moving towards the GOP voter. Imagine an honest, unbiased media (yeah, I'm laughing pretty hard right now).

I’ve made it my mission to politically destroy liberal republicans.
And I’m not going away. You don’t get to make that call.
Have a great day.

yeah, 2010 as you say, 1994, 1980, 1984 - they never ever learn
.even though history is CLEAR. The consultants believe just the opposite.
To: JRandomFreeper; righttackle44
you’re both right - to a degree.
For example, the best combo of things that could happen? GOP wins the Senate while McConnell and Cochran lose. THAT would be a nice split the difference and send a powerful message.

Meh, that’s just some of the base coming home. When there’s a big shift get back to me.

On the question of who should handle immigration, there has been a complete flip to the GOP. In May Democrats led 29-23%; today the GOP leads 29-25%. ping
