I attended a Tea Party Express Rally a few years ago. I gave them money, but I was uneasy about them. It had the feeling of a circus side show.

Express your concerns to Ted Cruz and Mike Lee. The tea party requires money to operate like every organization. This is an attack by the left and very transparent.
