With over 120,000 votes cast? I doubt that.

Looks like a clone of the SC primary == run a bunch of pseudo-conservatives to tie up the conservative vote.

==

Conservatives have the same problem — they need to center on one primary candidate, instead of fielding a half-dozen wannabes. The reason is name recognition. It is easier to introduce ONE new name to challenge the incumbent than a half-dozen that create confusion and disinterest.

Conservatives need to re-think their game.

Of course, the incumbent/GOPelites could fields a few pseudo-conservatives just to give their incumbent a better chance.

Even if we lose tonight, I do think our voice is being heard. Slowly, over time, we will keep making progress. I am not giving up. At least we are starting to challenge their hold on DC.

Till we change the body that runs TN GOP its a lost cause

They are moderates only concerned staying elected.

Really pitiful.

Only chance is to have run offs and closed primaries and they know that

Or a star challenger

They all flared off this time

Too many candidates for Alexander not to win. The party was worried enough to encourage unknowns to run. Carr is doing better than I thought he would

I think (not sure) the early voting statewide has already been tallied.

SC has an open primary so the Dems vote can vote for Linda.

Rush reported today about the poll that stated 14% people have confidence in Congress, which has been at an all time low for a decade now. The trouble is that when it comes time to vote the incumbents out, everybody wants to keep their own. So, what is the real problem with Congress if everybody hates them, but refuses to vote them out? What poll questions are being asked, anyway?

As of 8:07 PM CST:

United States Senate
Republican Primary
Lamar Alexander - Republican 129,989
Joe Carr - Republican 90,512

Lamar has a huge lead at this point. But Carr is doing very well against an incumbent who was once governor.

People have always been for their man but hate all the others. We had the “throw the bums out” discussion in the 70s.

It’s the same with term limits. People want their person to stay in forever. But term limit everyone else.
