The problem with these polls concerning Congress is that different people will approve or disapprove because of the same issue, some for the issue and some against.
Some disapprove because Congress has not passed amnesty for illegal aliens yet.
Others disapprove because Congress continues even trying to pass amnesty for illegals, and are totally against amnesty.
Same for many other issues.
Fleischmann - Wamp race is very close.

Steel, that was a given, Carr ran a bad campaign, he ran as a state rep, not as a US Senator, ignored W TN, Seniors, retired Military, and did not counter lamar’s ads. Flinn is unknown out side Shelby Co.
You have to have a candidate that is prepared to run a full state wide campaign, Carr was not willing to do so.
Why did it take conservatives so long to back a candidate? Seems Carr was just recently getting his best endorsements. It seemed too late to gain any traction.
Hopefully conservatives will get behind their candidates earlier in the future.
And if conservative candidates really don’t have a chance to win, they should drop out and give another conservative a better chance of winning.
Too many candidates dilute the efforts and take the attention off of the lamar alexanders of the world.

Part of it has to do with the fact that Lamar! secured endorsements from key players early on to avoid any serious/major elected officials from stepping up to run.
My friends might be lying, but I know very few people who for Lamar. We need to figure out which parts of the state voted for whom and build a plan to get Corker out.

Conservatives / Tea Party should identify and target RINOs early. Quickly view the candidates (even offer a forum) to determine which CONSERVATIVE candidate to back. It really needs to become a two candidate primary.
Finishing 2nd in every one of these senate races isn’t going to change things.
The problems we have in TN makes dumping RINOs difficult, especially now.
#1, we don’t have closed party primaries.
#2, the complete collapse of the TN Democrat party means they are free to interfere in our GOP primaries and choose our most liberal nominees. In Joe Carr’s legislative seat, the most left-wing RINO running won the nomination. Dems and RINOs joined up to aggressively take out our best and most outspoken Tea Party State Senator, Stacey Campfield.
#3, we have no runoffs. You have enough liberal Dems or RINOs voting in a given primary, they merely need to count on Conservatives splitting the vote amongst numerous candidates and waltz to victory with a plurality.

I agree. Open primaries have really hurt conservatives in this cycle. It’s got to change but RINOs aren’t going to allow that.
Bad news — but Tea Party candidates are doing VERY well in House races (which is why you only hear about Senate primaries) and doing well in “open” Senate primaries. Thus, the movement is moving forward.
I have not followed this election,
or the candidates.
