Reagan Aide Jim Brady's Death Ruled Homicide WASHINGTON Aug 8, 2014, By BRETT ZONGKER
This week's death of former White House press secretary James Brady, who survived a gunshot wound to the head in a 1981 assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, has been ruled a homicide by a medical examiner, District of Columbia police said Friday.
John Hinckley Jr. shot Brady, who lived through hours of delicate surgery and further operations over the years, but never regained normal use of his limbs and was often in a wheelchair. His family said he died Monday at age 73 from a series of health issues.
Nancy Bull, district administrator for the Virginia medical examiner's office, which made the ruling, declined to disclose the results of the autopsy and referred inquiries to District police.
DC police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said the department was notified of the homicide ruling Friday.

Eric Holder will charge the NRA with the crime.
It’d be nice to think that Hinckley could pay for this. But if he didn’t get anything for shooting Reagan then I doubt anything will happen in this case either.
WTH?
Homicide - The killing of one human being by another human being. (All murders are homicides, but not all homicides are murders. )
Physician (or Family Member) Assisted Suicide perhaps?
from: http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/homicide
“...The killing of oneself is a suicide, not a homicide. If a person kills another person in order to end the other person’s pain or suffering, the killing is considered a homicide. It does not matter if the other person is about to die or is terminally ill just prior to being killed; the law generally views such a killing as criminal. Thus, a “mercy killing,” or act of Euthanasia, is generally considered a criminal homicide....”
Crazy gun grabber making BS up.
If there is a direct correlation to the shooting/injuries then yes it would be ruled a homicide. Yes indeed. If you shoot someone and they do not die right away and 20 years pass then they die. If it is directly related to the original shooting injuries, yes you can be charged with murder.
Uh, this seems to be pretty big news.
Did his family let him die, or commit euthanasia? Or did some nurse slip him something??
Weird.
I have no sympathy for Hinckley, but this is a stretch.
He lived another 33 years and died at the average age for male mortality.
If I die of heart failure at 60, will my high school sweetheart be charged with murder for breaking my heart?
All bull-crap.

“..The autopsy revealed the cause of death to be a gunshot wound and consequences thereof , the police statement said, and the death was ruled a homicide...”
I, for one, would like to know the exact manner of death before I accept “result of a gunshot wound and consequences thereof.” All reports say the long term effects of his gunshot wounds are partial paralysis from brain damage, slurred speech, short term memory impairment and constant pain.
I hope it is not an attempt to politicize the death of Brady to grab more guns.
Great lawyers are going to be lining up to pro bono for Hinkley. Perhaps they’ll charge Jodie foster too.
Seems a bit strange to lose on the lesser charge of attempted murder and then later come back and file again on murder... Maybe there's some twisted logic to that, and I'm no supporter of Hinkley, but in my book, the government filed, lost, and now can't re-write history and go back for a murder charge.
But hey, thanks to the coroner for the creativity; that’ll work out just great as a reference for filing murder charges against the abortionists 30 years later.
They want to charge Hinkley with Brady’s homicide?-That would make sense.
No, not after 33 years have gone by. There won’t be any murder trial as this is a political stunt.
I meant that they weren’t saying that someone else killed Brady. The title is a little confusing.
