8.7.14: The Future of the Gun - This Week on Gun Talk Radio
Mandeville, LA Its an update on the out-of-state mother arrested on gun charges in New Jersey, a new provocative book on the future of firearms, and more, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk® Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.
Attorney Evan Nappen is currently waging a court battle for the release of Pennsylvania mother Shaneen Allen. Allen was driving through New Jersey with a gun in her car when she was stopped for a traffic violation. She spent 46 days in jail, and is now heading to trial. Nappen stops by on Sunday to explain the case, and why its important to all gun owners. You can read more about her case, and donate to her legal defense fund, at http://www.evannappen.com/.
Alan Gottlieb, of the Second Amendment Foundation, visits with Tom on Sunday to discuss the legacy of the recently departed Jim Brady, updates on the many cases SAF is fighting in court, and the upcoming 26th Annual Gun Rights Policy Conference hosted by SAF and CCRKBA this September in Chicago. Find out more here: http://saf.org/.
Author Frank Miniter is back at Gun Talk to discuss his latest thought-provoking novel, this one titled, The Future of the Gun. In it, Miniter examines the evolving firearm technologies that currently exist and ones still in development and how the anti-gun crowd is actually hampering the advancement efforts of companies, designers and creators. Thanks CH, just ordered 30 of those guys. Been looking for them for a long time.
Dunno, the varmints I shot w/ 5.56 had smoking fur at entrance. The .308s went thru and smoked both sides of 40-lb groundhogs.
In the Academy sales paper today they had 5 round boxes of 12 ga Rio high brass buck shot on sale for $2.99 per box so I decided to buy a few boxes. When I got to the checkout they rang up $1.99 per box. Going back tomorrow to buy some more.
Dude was a nut case.
Hot dog!
Hornady used to make some stuff that had a BB in the nose to make it explode and fragment.
Copied it myself several times.
I have never had any experience with Rio shotgun shells but at that price thought I would try them.
It’s made in TN.
They had a little problem there a few months ago.

Now THAT’s a real bargain! Good catch!
Just ordered two. Thanks!
Good price on them, too.
Anyone read that Richard Miniter book Tom was talking about tonight on his show? I found the audiobook version on iTunes.
Should be a hoot.
Really good venue with really great acoustics.
