The violent crime rate in Detroit has gone into free fall.
Police are still patrolling but the police chief is honestly telling people that self defense is a personal duty and police can’t be there for every incident.

How about a curfew and some national guard

I saw a thread with owners of a tattoo parlor and friends outside the door with firearms. I am familiar with the folks in Koreatown in LA manning roof tops with weapons. I have no problem with that. Kind of an extension of protecting your home from intrusion.

I'm wondering what will help. If the hispanics and blacks end up fighting against each other, instead of blacks killing each other and looting stores, I wonder if any military or police group could control it.
I'd assume if the chaos leaves areas near the fragile neighborhoods, the rioters will be blocked from leaving. At least I hope so. Because otherwise they're going to confront neighborhoods with armed citizens.
It would be far worse than the anti-war and busing riots of the 1960s. A much smaller percentage of people were armed then.
Al & Jesse don’t seem to be on the list. I guess they are busy filling out their tax returns.
