NBC will name Chuck Todd the new host of "Meet the Press" as soon as Thursday afternoon, according to people with direct knowledge of the network's plans.
The sources confirmed widespread speculation that David Gregory, who moderated the show for the past six years, will be replaced by Todd, and is expected to leave NBC.
The people spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to comment on the record. One said that the transition will be swift -- so swift that Gregory will not even host "Meet the Press" this weekend.

More infighting in the MSM for the remaining seats in the rapidly sinking liberal media. No normal person would watch any of these people if they started their own shows.
Their only career move is to fight over the remaining viewers of the long established shows and the corporate dollars that promoted them.

Who hear remembers Imus slobbering over David Gregory - about how great he was and how impressive and smart he was…..blah blah blah. Imus had to kiss some ass at MSNBC….and then they still stabbed him in the back.

In a last gasp at getting ratings, I *think* he actually tried this.. at least, according to some transcripts I saw. I'm sure, that was the FINAL straw.
I haven't watched MTP for more than 60 seconds... (when moving between channels) since Russert died.
I do find F Chuck SLIGHTLY less obnoxious than Gregory... but, he's still 100% far lefty. If they really wanted to get BACK on top? They's hire Sharyl Atkinson. Can you imagine what a show she would put on?
