Wife Stabs Husband In The Neck, Police Arrive And Take All His Guns

SADDLE BROOK, NJ –Robert Lintner, 65, did not have a good day.

It all began when his wife stabbed him in the neck during an argument in the morning. Things took a turn for the worse when police, summoned to Mr. Litner’s home, discovered the man’s firearm and ammunition collection.

Mr. Litner owned almost 200 guns in five vaults, had tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition in the home, and around 300 pounds of black powder. Because he did not consent to the search, cops used a jaws-of-life from the local fire department to open the safes, which are worth thousands of dollars in their own right.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were called to the scene to help confiscate the collection, and Mr. Lintner was charged with causing or risking widespread injury or damage for possessing more than 30 pounds of black powder. He pleaded not guilty.

Mr. Lintner’s attorney contends that his client possessed gunpowder because he teaches classes that utilize flintlock firearms for the state Division of Fish and Wildlife. It remains to be seen if Mr. Lintner will face additional charges.

Mr. Lintner’s wife, Eileen Lintner, who was charged with illegal possession of a weapon and second-degree aggravated assault, pleaded guilty to the charges.

He’s lucky to be alive only have insult added to injury. They confiscated ALL of his weapons? Is this even legal? Did he get fair value for them or the crap rates they give for the buy backs like $10 a gun?

I’m sure they were thrown in a nice pile in the back of a police van. About the only thing they will be good for after the JBT’s are through with them is fence posts.

Recently had occasion to help a friend obtain a TRO against a person who was cyberstalking him

The stalker and others , who had TRO’s against them, were informed they were barred from possessing or owning a firearm.

My 1st thought was “Wow. That’s boo chit. Not all stalking is violent nor will likely lead to a violent encounter”.

Pretty powerful stuff and wholly unnecessary.

So the lesson here is to not get stabbed in the neck, I guess

And some conservatives want Chris Christia for Prez.

A good criminal defense lawyer should have a good time with this. If he did not consent to the search and they had no warrant than his property will be returned. Maybe...

IMO this is how large-scale confiscation will happen: make large swathes of the population “prohibited persons” — the sick beauty of this is that many people will cheer the removal of the right to be armed from a “terrible felon”.

I would have asked for a tour of his collection and high fived him.......seizure? My Sgt would have had to do the paperwork himself while I went home burning a sick day.

The large amount of gunpowder “had the potential to be of significant danger to public safety to the home as well as adjacent structures,”

Oh really?

How in the hell did you know he even had some 300#’s of powder?

He may get them back, after he spends over $300,000 on legal fees.

I’m surprised they didn’t charge him as a terrorist. But that may happen soon enough.

The State of New Jersey should be charged with thief.
