Because he did not consent to the search, cops used a jaws-of-life from the local fire department to open the safes...

“Multiple law enforcement agencies were called to the scene to help confiscate the collection...”

Seeks like everyone saw something they wanted for themselves...

Good going LEO’s...

He’s lucky to be alive only have insult added to injury. They confiscated ALL of his weapons? Is this even legal? Did he get fair value for them or the crap rates they give for the buy backs like $10 a gun?

Recently had occasion to help a friend obtain a TRO against a person who was cyberstalking him

The stalker and others , who had TRO’s against them, were informed they were barred from possessing or owning a firearm.

My 1st thought was “Wow. That’s boo chit. Not all stalking is violent nor will likely lead to a violent encounter”.

Pretty powerful stuff and wholly unnecessary.

So the lesson here is to not get stabbed in the neck, I guess

And some conservatives want Chris Christia for Prez.

A good criminal defense lawyer should have a good time with this. If he did not consent to the search and they had no warrant than his property will be returned. Maybe...

“Multiple law enforcement agencies were called to the scene to help confiscate the collection, and Mr. Lintner was charged with causing or risking widespread injury or damage for possessing more than 30 pounds of black powder. He pleaded not guilty”

The State of New Jersey should be charged with thief.

Mr. Litner owned almost 200 guns in five vaults, had tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition in the home, and around 300 pounds of black powder.

Moral: If you want to be this kind of guy, move to Wyoming.

It was my understanding that 8lbs of powder was the threshold for "Special Handling" and declaration. You also can't keep it legally in a residential neighborhood.

But that's Smokeless Powder.

I believe keeping too much powder is either a regulatory infraction OR misdemeanor absent making a bomb of it or proof of nefarious intent.

He'll get his guns back.

Safes are lost without compensation.

How many of us, converging on New Jersey, would it take to restore Constitutional law there?

Yes, by “battle of Athens” type means...

Enough screwing around.

The libs are indoctrinated and convinced by the PTB that conservatives are the threat to rights, freedoms and opportunities for affluence for all, while conservatives are convinced just the opposite.

Both the left and right are manipulated via the puppet strings of global corporations and puppet masters of politics that convince us Americans to hate each other instead of hating the globalist corporate puppet masters ho’s whose only interest is importing cheap labor, putting the USA deeper into debt, keeping us at war, and conniving amongst their own about ways to steal our rights and freedoms.

We need to see puppet masters going to prison instead of taking money from share holders to bribe the DOJ.

I’m trying to figure out why the cops needed to search the house. Ok, sure, because they’re bullies and can step on We the People’s rights.

The lesson here is never ever call the cops unless there’s a dead body. Even then, before calling, hide the guns, the ammo, the pop tarts, the computers, the cell phones, the dogs, the kids, the pot of oregano on the kitchen window sill, the kids’ toys that might be considered weapons or dangerous, all pocket and kitchen knives, precriptions, the garden fertilizer and any loose bits of wire and pvc in the garage. After that, put fresh batteries in the nanny cam. Make sure you await the SWAT team’s arrival in the front yard in full view of the neighborhood. Leave the front door open. Say, “Yes, sir!” and avoid eye contact and keep your hands steady and visible at all times. Better yet, don’t be home.
