Looters in Ferguson, Mo., were met with little police resistance Friday night and store owners say they were forced to protect their businesses with their own guns, Fox2Now.com reported.

"I think the first message is to remind all law enforcement that they are hired to serve and protect and if they

You cannot rely on the police. Trust in yourselves and be ready to defend yourselves.

I don’t need the police. If trouble seeks me out, I will respond accordingly.

Interesting. I’ve seen other races joining in the peaceful protests. Is it only the blacks who are doing the looting? How about the violence? Are non-blacks throwing Molotov cocktails or doing other violence, or is it just the blacks doing the violence?

If the whites are peacefully protesting and the blacks are looting and committing violence, it would strongly suggest that the blacks believe their skin color makes them untouchable, as Eric Holder suggested when he said that he protects “his people”.

The Highway Patrol is allowed to patrol ONLY Highways

The Missouri State Highway Patrol will take over the supervision of security in the St. Louis suburb that's been the scene of violent protests since a police officer fatally shot an unarmed black teenager, the governor announced Thursday.

Well then the governor is who to blame.

Cannot arrest Blacks, this is what Social Justice looks like.

Go on Blacks, trash away until there's nothing left and you will need to
ride a bus for an hour to buy groceries. Playing into the Governments hands.

According to the National Underwriters Association business insurance covers rioting.

The police’s objectives are:

Keep people from getting killed or hurt.
Keep the rioting in an open compact area to keep the riot from going into residential neighborhoods.

De-escalate the rioting.

Protection of businesses.

Business protection is way down the list.

I think the Hwy Patrol is doing a good job, from all reports. The are meeting the above objectives.

This is the exact same thing that is being doing with the president.

Let him get away with it, because he’s black.

I am really sick of this sh!t.

It would seem you are correct and as I have thought all along when the crap hits the fan you are on your own.

Several years ago the KKK showed up in my small hometown for a protest march. We are talking 12K people. No one had seen these kooks in these parts in decades. The local police put them on the city parking lot to do their carrying on with a heavy police presence.

There was to be a counter march as well and they were separated by the police in the parking lot and trouble was expected. Many of the local business men, my father included were not having any of this rioting crap by either side and in the days leading up to the protest you could seem them bringing in shotguns and rifles to their stores and the word was put out, protest all you want, you riot either side will kill your asses: black, white, pink or green you are not destroying our businesses.

The protest happened as well as the counter protest and they went their separate ways. The KKK told the local chief of police they would be back next month and the chief said that is fine but we will not provide security for you then, you are on your own. They haven’t shown back up in 15 yrs.

According to the National Underwriters Association business insurance covers rioting.

The insurance may cover it, but the inability/unwillingness of the police to control it may make the future cost of buying that insurance for a business in Ferguson prohibitive.

All the instantly anti-law enforcement crowd here on FR complained about the initial response. Now when the police take the lauded libertarian-like preferred hands-off approach they also bitch & moan. I’m just curious what the anti-law enforcement contingent of FR thinks is the right answer? Because at this point all I hear is hypocritical armchair quarterbacking.

Missouri Governor Nixon said that the "protesters" just needed to "let off steam".

So that opens up a whole new can of worms.

That State Government is sanctioning Looting of Tax Paying Store Owners?

Nixon gave them a Green light that they wouldn't be punished?

I don’t think the police force will be nearly big enough in a ity with a population of 22,000

Don't forget Holder is bussing in more to fan the phoney flames.

I have a feeling that a lot of orders are coming down from the “justice” department. You know how this bunch feels about business.

Putting a black officer in charge is a sign of weakness. The problem is the animals don't respect AUTHORITY.

I had black soldiers who thought they needed to hear orders from black officers and NCOs. I put more than a few of them on the street.

Militarization of the police is one thing and wrong. Essentially you have given obama his internal army for control. Is there any doubt in any one’s mind what the police response would be if these were conservative tea party people protesting and rioting?

Law and order is another. You can keep law and order without being roger ram jet commando wannabe’s with M1 tanks and commando raids in small town USA for in some cases simple warrants, that 10 yrs. ago a black and white would have knocked on the door and served. Follow the Constitution and you will be fine as a peace officer. You either protect and serve all of none us.
