Michael Brown: A Criminal and a Thug
FrontPage Mag ^ | 08/18/2014 | Matthew Vadum

As the media-sanctioned rioting, bloodshed and looting continue in Ferguson, Missouri, evidence is emerging that police shooting victim Michael Brown wasn’t the upstanding citizen that many on the Left have claimed him to be.

All of this is happening as mobs have been attacking cops with Molotov cocktails and destroying community infrastructure. Some blacks in the region are reportedly randomly assaulting non-blacks as collective payback for what happened to Brown. Looting and property destruction are rampant. Scores of people have been arrested. Aircraft were ordered to fly at least 3,000 feet over Ferguson airspace after police said their helicopters were fired on from the ground.

A curfew was imposed, and the state’s feckless Democratic governor, Jay Nixon, stripped local police of some of their responsibilities, replacing them with state highway patrolmen. This, predictably, led to more looting of stores and all the things that usually happen when an angry, violent mob is rewarded for its bad behavior.

Through it all, the Left is out in force in Ferguson, trying to make a bad situation worse. The criminal elements of the city have been emboldened by martyrized accounts of Brown, and have carried out a campaign of destruction against the civil order under the banner of “no justice, no peace.”

As happened in the Trayvon Martin case two years ago, the hulking, nearly 300-lbs. Brown has been portrayed as an innocent doe-eyed angel unfairly cut down by evil police as a promising future awaited him. In Brown’s case, he was said to be just days away from heading off to college.

Store owners in Ferguson need to sue the city for lack of police protection.

If they win - and I believe they will win - it gives cover to other police departments to protect citizens from looters.

Looks like mom fed him butter-laden and high calorie foods trying to give him a heart attack. Just like they wanted to do to a certain Supreme Court justice.

If Brown was fleeing an officer, who has warned him to stop, the officer would be justified even if he shot him in the back.

What?

"What?"

They can use deadly force to stop a perp from fleeing. Even a citizen can in Tennessee. It might be hard to prove that you gave fair warning. But if you can, it's legal.

And I would think doubly so in the case of a 6'4" 292 pound perp who had already assaulted an officer. Because it's just too risky to go tackle him.

I read most of the comments of this article and feel the same as most of the people making them..it is just to bad we have so many thug blacks ruining it for all blacks..I would love to see the good citizens of that town come out on the streets and tell all the rent a mob to clear out..and take filthy AL and crazy Jessie with them..and take the so called press with them..

I do not waste my time watching any news about this because it gives me a pain in my heart....I do read and post on freerepublic since I can vent here..

Maybe “to” college.
Odds of actually graduating?
1/4 of my students wouldn’t do the work.
Showing up isn’t enough.

If Brown had his hands up surrendering, there would be no justification. But if Brown was fleeing the cop would be justified. If Brown was charging, the cop would be justified.

. In Brown’s case, he was said to be just days away from heading off to college.

No he wasn't. (1) he hadn't registered or payed his tuition. (2) If he hadn't got in the way of the police car, he wouldn't have drawn attention to himself. He would likely have been arrested later on the robbery charges. Unless Vatterot College has an 'in prison' classroom, he could not have attended college.

His parents aren’t taking any responsibility for how their son was raised.

That's why he was living with GRANDMA instead of one of them.

Michael Brown looks to have been a member of the Bloods street gang. Does the following walk like a duck?:
1) Social media photos of Michael Brown throwing Bloods gang signs;
2) Convenience store video of him nonchalantly committing strong-arm robbery, like it was an everyday activity;
3) The obvious presence of masked Bloods at the “protests”; and,
4) The “Snitches get Stitches” graffiti on the wall of the looted and burned Quik-Mart (which thugs believed was the scene of the robbery. And hmm... how did they know about the robbery prior to release of the video while maintaining how innocent Mike was?).

Ferguson appears to be a corrupt ruin where gang members shake down businesses, and expect to take what they please without paying — or even being challenged. Reporting thefts results in attacks. The Indian owner of Ferguson Market wanted to make it clear that the store had not called the police or offered the surveillance tape. The clerk was more or less blamed for confronting Michael Brown instead of just letting him walk out with $50 worth of stolen merchandise. I have to suspect many people in Ferguson live in fear of the gangs and are afraid to speak out.

In a sane world, police would investigate and reveal Brown’s criminal associations, and attention would be paid on ending gang tyranny — not the media backing an attempt to make the streets safer for gangsters.

Rush just explained how tobacco is removed and marijuana put in

He left out the fact that in ST. Louis you lace the pot with PCP as well.

I don’t know about Missouri, but in Tennessee if someone commits a crime and a citizen or a cop tries to apprehend them, they are authorized to use whatever force is necessary to bring them to justice, including deadly force.

Not so, at least not since 1985. That was when the US Supreme Court ruled that deadly force "may not be used unless necessary to prevent the escape and the officer has probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious bodily harm to the officer or others."

So it seems that a cop (or a citizen) had better be able to make a very strong argument that the suspect poses a significant threat. Shooting simply to prevent an escape isn't enough.

Does anybody know to what college he was heading off to in a few days as had been said?

Vatterrot College.

If this were true at all, then he would be already REGISTERED and have paid TUITION.

Do you think that had occurred ?

Who would have paid it, GRANDMA (whom he was living with instead of either of his parents) ?

Donations have been taken to be used to send the 'other' children of the 'babymama' and 'babydaddy' to college (right, like that will happen) BECAUSE the family doesn't have enough money to send ANY of their kids to college.

How then could they have afforded to send Big Mike ? He wasn't even working at a job.
