The Gateway Pundit can now confirm from two local St. Louis sources that police Officer Darren Wilson suffered facial fractures during his confrontation with deceased 18 year-old Michael Brown. Officer Wilson clearly feared for his life during the incident that led to the shooting death of Brown. This was after Michael Brown and his accomplice Dorian Johnson robbed a local Ferguson convenience store.
Local St. Louis sources said Wilson suffered an “orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket.” This comes from a source within the District Attorney’s office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police.

Some lady on Dr. Drew on HLN last night was saying that she doesn’t understand why he shot in the head, because police procedure and training is to always shoot to wound. I was just like “what?”
Thanks for the information about the damage done to the face and bones around the eye socket. In this case, it may explain why we have neither seen nor heard from the policeman who was assaulted by Big Mike.
He may have needed surgery a day or two after the event.
I am certain that there are numerous photos of the damage to his face. Necessary for any claims against medical insurance, plus evidence in the confrontation between the officer and the now deceased felon.
at least temporary inability to move the eye normally. Likely at least temporary visual problems with the eye, all the way up to permanent blindness. This is a devastating injury
The text you quoted is some jerks ‘rewrite’ of the original statement given by a close friend and co-police officer of Officer Wilson.
The basic info is true, but the details are mixed up.
It’s just someone trying to get his 15 minutes of fame on the internet.
There was a thread here on FR with the contents of the Female Police Officer who gave the original statements.
Simple and easy, that is why a little 110lb female TV cop can man-handle a 300lb thug and kick his butt.

an orbital fracture is a little different than a blow out orbital fracture. That is a medical and surgical emergency

If the nerve is not impinged there should be no permanent problem. If the nerve was impinged, there would have had to be an operation to elevate the fracture and relieve the pressure on the nerve. If there was no impingement no operation would be needed to be performed and it should heal without problems.

I heard a black female on Dr. Drew last night say that Mike Brown was afraid, and so he had a right to defend himself.

I bet he was 300+ when attacking the officer. Deadly in close combat when hopped up on PCP-laced mary jane.
