ISIS militants appear to behead abducted American journalist James Wright Foley in graphic video
NY Daily News ^ | 8/19/2014 | SASHA GOLDSTEIN

An American freelance photojournalist missing since being abducted in Syria some 22 months ago was apparently beheaded by an Islamic State militant in a graphic video released Tuesday.

Titled “A Message to America,” the gruesome clip shows a masked militant saw away at the neck of James Wright Foley, a 40-year-old New Hampshire native captured in Binesh, Syria on Thanksgiving Day 2012.

The family, on its "Free James Foley" Facebook page, has yet to confirm his death.

(snip down to Foley's statement)

“I call on my friends, family and loved ones to rise up against my real killers, the U.S. government. For what will happen to me is only a result of their complacency and criminality,” Foley reads as he kneels beside an armed militant, masked and dressed all in black. “My message to my beloved parents: Save me some dignity, and don’t accept some minor compensation for my death from the same people who effectively hit the last nail in my coffin with their recent aerial campaign in Iraq. I call on my brother John, who is a member of the U.S. Air Force: Think about what you are doing. Think about the lives you destroy, including those of your own family … I wish I could have the hope of freedom and seeing my family once again, but that ship has sailed. I guess all in all, I wish I wasn’t American.”

...”James Foley was brutally murdered because”....

...That’s what Islamists do.

I don’t think sitting around shootin’ the sh*t at a Barry Beer Summit with these guys would have saved this poor guy’s life. These muzzie Islamoterrorists don’t seem to be very big on “diplomacy”. Those kids up in the District of Corruption need to wake up to that fact and wake up quickly. It’s getting late. Barry can choke on his Nobel Peace Prize for all the good it has done him.

I do not know James Foley’s politics.

I do know that he was killed because he was an American, and a Catholic.

MY GOD WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR PEOPLE TO BE OUTRAGED OVER THESE BARBARIANS????

I don’t get it, I just don’t get the lack of outrage from our government, our media, our citizens. I understand the Obama non-response, but my God, when do senators and other leaders take a walk up to Pennsylvania Avenue and talk some sense into our weak President? When do they force his hand? When do they say enough is enough???

That is a pretty sick thing to say. It sounds like the voice of someone who has been tortured for two years to say exactly what they want and how they want it said.

The video made me cry, his face after he spoke will haunt me.

What is interesting is that almost all of the Iraq/AQ/ISIS prisoners we see are dressed in orange jump suits. This is predominately a Western custom. Say what you want, but it just seems weird.

I don’t know the name of the man, but I will never forget the Tunisian Christian convert that was beheaded by Muslims in 2012. I don’t know whether he was drugged or resigned to his fate, but he went out with no struggle, no fight, and no screams.

It was posted as a thread on FR, but that particular video link was removed at YT. It is very graphic.

I don’t know. Is this the new normal? I know they’ve been doing this for a while, but are we supposed to get used to it as a mater of course? They are going full bore right now.

We live in a really messed up, horrible world. We’ve got people that don’t want to even hear about it...maybe they know best. It doesn’t do any good to know about it. There’s nothing anyone over here, that is Joe or Jane Average, can do about it.

Our f****** POS “leaders” could do something to put a big damper on a lot of it, but our government is not just useless, but often aids and abets the enemy, and undermines the only good group that’s over there.

There is no making any of these people behave in a civilized manner. It won’t happen in 1000 years. They have been steeped in this kind of thing from day one and now it’s practically in their DNA.

I’m very sorry and distressed for James Foley having to endure what he did and meet this fate. I don’t care what his political affiliations were...whatever they were. He went out bravely. I hope the (no words to insert here) that did this to him will die the most horrible of deaths before they descend to hell.

God, please bless America and deliver us from the enemy within and outside our gates.

For whatever reason they appear to be essentially all in with him.

Brown was clearly innocent, Wilson is obviously guilty, and Foley was only “apparently” beheaded. We only rush to judgment sometimes.

I do not know James Foley’s politics.

Fair enough.

The reason I said what I did is because most leftists (as 80% of journalists are) have a little "blame America first" in them. That is not a personal slam on your friend's son, particularly since you don't know what his politics were, that is a general observation about leftists.

I do know that he was killed because he was an American, and a Catholic.

That is the bottom line.

He was also likely severely abused and brainwashed for the two years he was held captive prior to being killed.

When I said "Stockholm Syndrome" that was the point.

Just what do you think this administration would do even if there was outrage? They’ve pretty much proven they aren’t interested in what we want or what shakes us up no matter the strength used.

Personally I’d just flatten the entire ME Muslim populations altogether....

He didn’t just blame America. He blamed his own brother for his beheading. You’ll never convince me he believed that, no matter what his politics may have been. I can think of some horrible things that could have made him say those things, but liberalism and Stockholm Syndrome wouldn’t do it.

Sorry, if I knew they were going to murder me anyway, I hope that I would go out proclaiming the glory of Jesus Christ, not laying a guilt trip on my family.

I could imagine that brainwashing could do it ("Stockholm Syndrome" being the end result of that brainwashing)

And by the way, I have some libtard relatives who have called me "baby killer" in the past...and meant it (Most of my extended family is great, but there are a few nutcases in some outlying branches of the family tree).

If I were his brother, I would be anxious to bomb these barbarians many, many more times - until they are wiped off the face of the earth.

RIP, James Foley. May the Lord avenge your senseless death at the hands of these savages.
