Such and order to stand down in the presence of so many felonies had to come from on high. Were I the Colonel of MO HP I would have insisted on a WRITTEN order to stand down. Sure Gov. Nixon issued such and order. I doubt a mere Capt. could have. But will Nixon admit it?

Disgusting. And I might add, this is the same Captain Ron Johnson who marches hand in hand with the protestors in Ferguson.
No word yet if he (or his son) are rioting and looting at night. But it wouldn’t surprise me.

Yes, its bad for the business owners, but ultimately they will shut down and leave. Ferguson will be not only a ‘food desert’ but a shopping desert in general.
Hopefully then people will connect the dots between law and order and having nearby stores, services, etc ... a civilized life.
There are lots of areas now where there are no grocery stores and very few stores of any type. The few that are there charge high prices to cover the cost of theft and security
Ferguson needs a top cop like Milwaukee county Sheriff Clarke or Detroit police chief James Craig running the show.

When you look the other way at the lawbreaking, you are sending the message that you are condoning it. This stand down was departmental orders, handed down from the top...perhaps with a sprinkling of pressure from area politicians, and the DOJ no doubt.
yes....keep beating up the rank and file police officers, and most will turn their back and walk away FIDO...

Store owners and citizens need to sue the city.
Same thing happened in LA in 92 King riots. No leadership and the result citizens are on their own. As I tell my kids if you think government is going to be there for you prepare for major disappointment and suffering.
They should be ashamed but the media and liberals have a lot more culpuability in this and they should really be ashemed but of course never are.
Imagine if the cops had shot a looter who pulled a gun on them.
More riots, more media crap thrown at them.
Plus much of the standing down ocurred wiuth the highway patrol who was led in by a black cop who was talking with shabazz, and throwing gang signs with a family member.
