I agree. As much as this sucks, I am not sure what Obama was supposed to do. This guy had been kept hostage since 2012.
I feel horrible for his family. But I am sure they had come to grips with the outcome a long time ago.
I must say, the guy stood up and took it like a man. I can see Obama crying like a bitch if it happened to him. Although, he would not have to convert to Islam, so he would be OK.

After reading the article at your link, I withdraw my suggestion to send in Seal Team 6. There was a happy ending after all.

Weird thing was I heard his girlfriends and colleagues (there seemed to be considerable overlap) interviewed on BBC this morning, and his family too.
The girlfriends went on and on about how "he cared, he really cared."
His father was talking about his being such a nice guy, and all Foley wanted to do over there was "to help."
At this point Foley's head was practically still rolling around on the ground, so it seemed natural to extend sympathies. But I have to admit I was wondering just what it was that "he cared" so much about---the truth?
And when his father talked about "help" I should have wondered who was on the receiving end.
What he cared about was murderous Islam, so it seems. What he wanted to "help" do was to exterminate Jews, Christians and other ostensible enemies of Mohammed.
I would say that it still wouldn't hurt to send in a Seal Team, or better yet a tactical nuke or two.
