Why does he call himself a “Republican”?

Rand Paul Ryan just lost any chance at my vote.

Ryno is a sneaky little punk, but this won’t work. If he and Bonehead had the numbers they would have pushed amnesty through already. In January there will be still less support for amnesty.

Methinks Paul Ryan has been palling around with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, chasing after the Catholic, as well as the ethnic, liberal, Wall Street, Chamber of Commerce, minority and female voters.

These he reasons will make up the difference for losing the vote of we traditional base voters.

It will take brains in our conservative candidate to sucessfully counter this RINO strategy, the use of which will be common among ALL the RINO candidates this cycle.

Cruz strikes me to be able and proficient in knocking these arguments down, one by one.

Hope so. Jeff Sessions can help, also.

He had so much potential based on his presentation during the Republican Healthcare Summit with Obama way back when.

Like Rubio, he blew it.

If the Pubbies did run on legalization and amnesty, Nancy Pelosi would be the next speaker.

More and more Ryan opens his mouth and proves he isn’t one of the sharper knives in the drawer.

An open letter to the GOP Members of Congress

As a Representative or Senator in Congress, you took this Oath:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

"Support and defend the Constitution" it says. Did you see that? That document, in turn, requires, per Art.4, S.4, that

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

An invasion is what we are suffering. That invasion has accelerated with each "comprehensive immigration reform" previously enacted. Instead of another disastrous reform that yet again increases the incentives for millions more to try their luck crossing the southern border, a Member of Congress who took his Oath and the Constitution seriously would be pressing for what the American people have repeatedly said they want - not what Senators Schumer and McCain, Rep. Paul Ryan, Mark Zuckerberg, Mexico, some border state farmers and homebuilders or the Chamber of Commerce rent-seekers want. That is:
  1. secure the border in a transparently verifiable way;
  2. end the anchor-baby interpretation of the 14th Amendment;
  3. enforce eVerify without exception and with severe penalties;
  4. end chain migration - entry per individual qualifications, not family ties;
  5. deportation upon contact with any law enforcement agency - federal, state or local
  6. no government benefits beyond critical emergency care (and that ought to be billed back to the home government); and
  7. NO "Path to Citizenship" - EVER - for anyone who has entered the US illegally.
Any measure that does not accomplish these things is unacceptable. It is de facto amnesty. And it will inevitably, ineluctably encourage millions and millions more illegal entries.

If the GOP is complicit in granting amnesty - and any action that permits those who entered the US illegally to benefit from that illegal act is amnesty - the GOP will cease to exist. It will not survive through the 2016 elections. The people will shun the over-tanned, glad-handing, backslapping quislings and look elsewhere for leaders who actually have the spine for the fight. Make no mistake - to me and to many, many others, amnesty is the GOP's Rubicon. Cross it at your electoral peril.

Ryan is following the “formula” of releasing a book about his “vision” and is now in pander mode.

sad.

He should just step aside.

Yes, the “formula”, today, is now to write a book if you want to be thought of as committed to making a serious run for prez.

Cruz, I have a feeling, is putting together a quiet strike force himself, a silent army of combat ready political genius.

He better be. He has been too quiet for anything less than a big, blockbusting campaign building. Or else he is backing off.

I am dying to know which it is.

I am not shocked. He has been so deeply involved with the Gop-establishment. He really has fooled a lot of his supporters. They live all in such a bubble from the average citizen. Thanks for sharing.

These innocent *chilren* sure seem to get into BIG trouble. I know, I know...Eric the Holder says “Change is coming”. I guess they’ll just stop arresting them, before too long :-(
