This can only lead to questions about how much it failed, how it failed, were lives lost, injured, money spent, equipment lost in the hands of the enemy, etc...

Only thing the release of a failed raid did in my mind was confirm this administration is even more incompetent then first thought. Plus to boast that at least you tried is even sicker is no extra points in my mind because it failed.
Who in their right mind boast about a FAILURE. He has opened up our military to even more possible harm by letting this little cat out of the bag!

How does a failed mission bolster his reputation, except as an incompetent boob?

The leak of the failed rescue was evidently an effort to show the president was not simply a bystander

I think the leak has precisely the opposite effect. It makes the US look weak and incompetent. The intent may be to show that Obama cared enough to order a mission that failed, but I don’t think that’s the way it will be received, either in the US or abroad.
To: Hojczyk
Can you imagine the backlash if they had paid the ransom?

Team Obama leaks failed raid in bid to shore up imageHow does a failed mission qualify as "flawless?"
How does Epic Fail fit into that characterization?
There are no brownie point ever awarded for "good intentions."
To add insult to incompetence, how does aiding and abetting the enemy during a state of war sound?
Leaking the specifics of details of the failed military action.
