Washington: The 'Blackest Name' In America

The 2000 U.S. Census counted 163,036 people with the surname Washington. Ninety percent of them were African-American, a far higher black percentage than for any other common name.

And I’m sure there are a lot of businesses too. I still think it’s appropriate to fight fire with fire.

Lets see how fast the Washington Post drops the family name Washington.

I think it’s safe to say, the Post didn’t use the name to honor any other entity besides the father of our nation.

It sought to capitalize on his good name.

Now let them drop it. It’s very offensive to me that they use that name.
